I am in the same boat. I took a break but have just bought the InArt Superman and Hot Toys The Batman (as InArt aftermarket prices are more than I want to spend), so I need Bane and Joker. There's a good chance that InArt will eventually release Bane, but that is years away, I imagine...

This like all artsian figures have sold out in less then an hour so far, this figure have been sold out for over a year so 3rd party sellers/ebay is your only pick now. Might find the non rooted version in stock tho.

Honestly you probably have a good shot. Can’t imagine that many people joined so long after it had gone up for PO. I figured I had no chance at the time lol.

I got the DX32 in today since I missed out on the artisan due to a colonoscopy appointment, so kinda $htty, lol. I have the Inart rooted set, The imposter, and now this one. I have way too much of this character and I'm trying to decide if I'm gonna sell off any, and if so which one(s).

Right out of the box I put this figure next to the the Inart Deluxe/rooted purple coat version and geez it's close. There is a lot to like about this sculpt even with the sculpted hair vs the inart rooted version. I really like both but atm I'm surprisingly giving the edge to the Hot Toys despite the plastic hair. I really didn't want to admit I preferred the Hot Toys while getting my first impressions since I paid so much for the Deluxe Inart set and especially since the jail cell version is a bit of a miss imo. I'll give it a few weeks to see which I prefer and let the newness of the figure fade for a bit for me.

Besides the sculpt I also feel like the Hot Toys is just so much easier to pose and manage. The base with the foot peg is really sturdy and I can make a cool pose and not have to worry about walking into the room to find him flat on his face. The wrist hand pegs are a dream compared to inart's. The hands on that figure are such a huge pain for me to get in securely and if I even bump into the figure or try to change a pose they simple fall out. I had a lot of fun easily changing the hands and making different poses when I unboxed him and I didn't feel all stressed out. The base light is neat too.

I think the Inart clothes might feel a bit more premium? The Hot Toys jacket feels a bit thin and doesn't really have much weathering on mine. The jacket almost looks brand new vs the decently weathered Inart coat. Maybe I'll keep both purple coat versions and sell the jail cell and the imposter.

My original intention was to switch the imposter sculpts and sell off the imposter with the DX32 sculpt for cheap when I was under the impression it would be the same hair and paint work but that is obviously far from the case. The DX32 looks better than the imposter even with the sculpted hair. The imposter version looks like the singer from INXS with joker make up on, there's just too much hair and it's styled wrong. The dull paint could work for maybe the jail cell but again the hair is totally wrong especially for that scene.

I kind of think the imposter Joker was their trial rooted hair heads learning how to do DX33 properly, especially the hair but also the face paintjob is noticeably better on DX33. Obviously imposter does not look terrible, but it has that kitbash feeling to it, let's toss a body at these training heads and make some $.

Maybe that was their first production run and it wasn't to the standard they wanted, so rather than scrap them they just ran the imposter fig to market as a way to keep them from total waste.

That sounds more likely to me as that was such a random release all things considered.

I think this is absolutely what they did. I worked as a product photographer for a company for about 5 years where things like this were standard practice. If they didn't like how the first large batch came from the factory they would find a use for it vs throwing it away.

This wasn't for collectibles but it was for a "different" kind of toy

Ironically, my impression of the Imposter at the time was, "Hey, that's not bad for a first Artisan!" Now that I've seen how the DX33 turned out, I'm obviously thrilled to be getting the better version.

yah I'm also collecting the LOTR series from Inart..waiting for them to show their catwoman as well. The JND one is...more than what i want to spend.
