Gas use to be $1.80 in 2007, now its almost $4 and people pay it so can really gripe about $25-50 a figure. When i fill up its like $80. Thats the real waste of money. At least I get something to keep out of a figure. Gas is a waste.

why is everyone so sure there is going to be a trench coat version. It took them how long to make this version? They still haven't made an Alfred, or Ras yet. Has HT ever released two versions of the same character in the same year?

batman begins ver and tdkr ver back in 2008. I believe those were released with a few months apart

I'm with you that it is unknown that HT may not do a Commissioner Gordon, but I'm sure HT will milk Batman for all it's worth, crapping out the Commissioner version sometime next year.

Rescue Cap and Avengers Cap later this year. Red Spiderman 3 and the black version.... probably not the same calendar year but within a year's timeframe. Original Mk II and Mk. III AND BD Mk. III I think. TDK OC and new suit. Hmmm, sure there's more, just can't remember...

If they have gone with the S.W.A.T suit version first, im pretty sure they will go with trench coat. After all they've got the Headsculpt done just needs the clothes really and maybe slightly smaller glasses.
Maybe if this is a success it will push them to do the trench coat version, S.W.A.T suit could just be a trial run see how well a gordon figure does?. I was going to get it but decided to pass on it, for the price and how much other stuff i have on order just couldn't really afford it.

Also Im not too keen on the SWAT suit either.

I'm not really keen on it either, but I want the head to bash a comish out of. I also think your probably right that it makes little sense to make this and not a Commissioner Gordon, but at the same time it seems a bit overkill for the character so who knows. So I figured why not get the figure for now and sell it later on if and when a better version is made.

Commish will most likely come but watch it have a working Bat Signal. Now a $170 figure becomes a $250+ figure. A 1/6 scale signal would be really big.

Only point I am trying to make is everyone is passing due to the price, but who's to say the Commish won't be higher in price when/if it is released?

Like a lot of folks I was a little taken aback by the price at first. While I realize it is an exclusive, it is still a pretty simplistic figure to command such a high price.

With that said, I have been waiting for Gordon for so long and I am unwilling to chance waiting for a mass release version which may not even happen. The Commissioner isn't exactly a top tier character (as much as some would like to think), and I would hat to miss out on him because I had to pay $30 more than I would have liked to.

Then, while I see Gordon and Gary Oldman in there there's something about the latest Hot Toys head sculpts that look off to me. They're starting to all look the same. Like, I can tell a Hot Toys sculpt when I see one. The eyes are painted great, but all of them are starting to look like taxidermy or wax humans. They all look dead.


This isn't some kind of "Asian Tom Cruise" joke but, they all really look Asian to me as well. Gordon here is no exception. Some pics look like him, others, well, don't.

I guess it's true, God created man in his own image and so did Hot Toys.

Iam an Asian and to be more specific, iam a movie actor in my country and paid pretty handsome for my looks. How come everytime i read a remarks about asian offended me. 100% iam sure that iam much better looking than you do and earned a thousand times than you do. So please avoid making remarks like the one above. Peace.
