Yes, the original came with a wired cape and a kind of clip-on backpack with metal rods that could be adjusted to different levels to make the cape appear to flow in different ways. This one comes with a crappy lump of plastic. Don't think it comes with wired cape from the looks of it.

Is that the original one in the foreground? I think I prefer the shinier paint on the new one. How do they compare in person? And are the tyres any different than the first release?

Ah, thanks so much for the explanation. That was such a weird looking piece of plastic that I was thrown off on how it could actually be used. Really wish I had got the original release for the extra cape alone now

No problem. I think most of us thought the plastic thing was the tray in which the cape holder was stored, not the actual cape holder itself! The original wired cape is okay, but I'll be using an lforigno custom cape anyway, so may just rig up some wiring myself. I think it would look cool with batman aiming the EMP and the cape just draped over the back wheel.

I can't wait for this to ship. Still not sure how I want to display Batman on it. Too bad that cape connector looks like garbage. Having Batman ride on it with the cape flowing may not be a great option depending how that damn thing looks.
