I kinda don't want to bend the elbow that much since I worry about it messing up the jacket with creases. Anyone else worried about that?

This pose can be done. The hand wasn't plug, it was just "resting" on the peg and the sleeve. He is a clear shot:

It was so disturbing that I ended up hidding it, because it was ruining the pic.

If there's one movie from Arnold's 80s repertoire that would be hard to laugh at for either effects (T1, Running Man), or dialogue (Conans, Red Sonja, Commando, T2), or story (Raw Deal, Twins), it would probably be Predator.

Total recall, True Lies or T2 for me. In any one of those 3 arnie's in his finest form.

True Lies is good, problem is I think you have to have already been an Arnie and James Cameron fan for it to stand out...otherwise it might not.

Terminator 2 probably. While there are some cheesy comedic moments, they're not really dialogue and can pass by without really stopping you. I feel like kids today would find dialogue from the likes of Predator cheesy, and Terminator 1's fashion world probably seems so bizarre that they wouldn't take it serious. Even True Lies I think would be seen as cheesily over the top at times, like the horse chase or him flying the fighter jet. T2 doesn't have a lot in it that gives the time period away aside from maybe a hair cut or two, the dialogue is fairly serious from start to finish, the whole film's tone is fairly serious, I think it would stand the best chance against today's youth.

Seems like a great figure, doesn't suffer from Softsculpt like the T2 figures, and has a great likeness to that weird looking shaved-eyebrows prosthetics/animatronic Arnold. I keep seeing him showing up in Robocop reviews and photos, and he's an eye-catcher.

Not a name I was familiar with to be honest, and no particular memory of her as a child in Kindergarten Cop so I'm gonna say 'would' without any reservations. According to IMDB she's only 3 years younger than me anyway, cool.

It has been many a moon since you posted in here and I'm sure I draw attention to it every time you do, but good to hear from you again.

It isn't in fact. Most people, IMO rightly, are still saying DX13 is the best. Better overall package, better likeness, more accurate proportions. I personally don't see Arnold in the eyes (well....eye) of this T1 figure, and notably it's only an MMS - no PERS - the thing that many say ruins likenesses. DX13 has PERS and yet I see Arnold there much more than here, so it bucks that particular trend. And the body is way too small for these headsculpts, HT should have made an adjustment there or not made the heads so big, probably the latter really for consistency sake with previous Terminator figures. But with heads this size and the existing body he pretty much no longer looks like a body-builder, just a physically fit person.

All that said there's still workarounds for it. It can be made to look very good if you don't begrudge the extra money and effort.

I agree but i'd add that in addition to the offputting 80s fashion sense of terminator 1 there's that awful synthesized music. Still a great movie though.

I think T2 is still watchable in todays age. Cyberdyne scenes anyone? Ahnuld picking up that huge (and *** heavy) minigun. Hmm, youth sentiment is strong now, I can't be 100% impartial here.

How many kids would be allowed to watch T2 nowadays anyway? Their parents would be demanding "trigger warnings" before every intense, action-packed, scene was shown. For real. SMH.

I saw T2 in the theater with my entire family. I was 13. I turned out OK (not). My youngest brother, who was 9, was terrified though...he spent most of the movie cowering behind the seat in front of him. Poor kid.

T2 is still a great movie. One of the best action movies of the last 30 years. But there are still things a kid watching it today could, and probably would make fun of. And that was a-dev's initial question. I guess folks could find some of the macho behavior from Predator kind of cheesy, but I don't know. I still have faith in th kids today, that they would appreciate it for the awesomeness that it is. No one is wearing acid washed jeans, no one has poofy '80s hair, no one gets called a "dickwad," the story is simple, but solid, the performances are very serviceable for what they are supposed to be, the costuming and special effects are still good, there isn't much cheesy romance or melodrama, etc.

I agree, Predator is great, but nothing is impervious to ridicule nowadays, thanks to the Internet, memes and boards like 4chan. That's why I don't put much stock into, or worry about, what today's kids find cool. Prime example? PewDiePie.

I achieved it with it plugged. But I had to clip away at the glove a bit to get enough bend. Of course that is a permanent mod.

I haven't gotten my figure yet so cannot try it, but you may be able to bend out the edges of the glove, if the hands are made of a vinyl material, but heating it up with a hairdryer, bending it, then running it under cold water to 'set' it in place.

I was going to mention the awful synthesized music; apart from the terminator "dun dun dun dun dun" theme, the music is truly distractingly dated. The acting and dialog for many of the nameless bit parts is pretty cheesy, too. Great movie, but I think a person would have had to grow up with it to be able to overlook those dated elements.

That might have helped a bit but there's not enough glove to bend it like your thinking to get the full effect. Kinda wish HT would have thought about this and include another gloved hand meant for that pose. Lol oh well.

I don't understand the hate for the Terminator music. I couldn't watch it without the synth score. The old pop songs of the 80's I can live without, but many of the synth movie scores are often suprisingly good 30 years or so later.

I'm annoyed as hell with the new sound effects and stuff on all newer Terminator releases but at least the score is the same. Could you imagine Terminator with an orchestra score and/or a Hanz Zimmer whopper score with everything and the kitchen sink that is the work of about 20 "composers" and all is mashed into one?
