very nice olbertfrog that female damn hips are now finally vanished.. but now is it in scale with the dx 13?

I'm liking this fig more as time goes on. I think it probably has the most accurate movie likeness out of anything in my collection (though I do have DX05 Indy and DX07 Luke so maybe not that great competition).

I guess it also depends on which stills from the movie you compare it to. Not so great against this howler :)

The thing with (especially the original) Terminator, from the moment in the movie the battle damage comes in, it doesn't look 100% like Arnie anyway. So when people complain about likeness with figures, sometimes the figures themselves look more like the governator than some of the effects in the movies did... Terminator 1 is really dated in that respect. Watching him take his eye out, looks about as real as the Tommy Lee Jones head that Seagal stabs in Under Seige..

Thanks.
For the hips i added a padded trunk, the one from Jor El body.
Dont think it could still be in scale with the DX13 since as you can see Zods body is bigger. Dont really care as i will probably not display them together.
On a sidenote the DX13 headsculpt was also not in sync with its body, its a bit smaller than the mms238 hs, but bigger than the DX10 or MMS117/136.
look here :)

Reworked it again (sorry for the crappy pics)
Out of the box on the Left, custom on the left.
Custom body recipe is
Zod full body chest (belly and waist) ( i may try Mos superman rubber chest part as its beefier than Zods).
TTM20 (T800) legs,
Shoulder+biceps MOS Superman (inner shoulder swivel joint are T800)
T800 forearms (MOS elbow forearm peg replaced with T800 peg)
buffed up Neck
headsculpt base reworked (hairdryer) to fit the beefier neck.

Zods body out of the box is already much better than the original T800 body, proportions are in sync with the big headsculpt. Ive went the extra miles because i found the shoulder, biceps (had weird form too), thighs not big enough, the forearms are a tad shorter too on Zod but its really nothing.
Zods is basically a taller, beefed up version of the T800 TTM20 body.
It needs to beef up the neck and maybe the trap shoulder.

Wow. Good work. The body and head are now in proportion and the Terminator looks properly like the tank he is.

the head sculpts are top notch
they are both pure crap, worst terminator headsculpts from HT to date.

noob talk.

:lol

That's your opinion and that's fine, but seriously you can't be for real with that statement, I think they are the best to date overall, think about it,

hamburger face= joke
MMS117=pin headed, frog face some would say
DX10=gorilla shaped head and thick eye lids
MMS136=is a great sculpt
DX13=also great sculpts but hair has issues

That said the only issues present with the 238 heads some could have is ether thinking the heads are to big, however I think its the fact the body is to small for T1 as they used a T2 body which throws the look off and the full bd head being to tan as he was more pale looking during that time in the movie, but to each their own:dunno

Good work Olbert, your modding on the body has really elevated the figure.

Thanks guys :)

ive modified the body again ^^
I had a technoir body left, so i used its rubber chest wich is bigger than all the recent T800 bodies chest (and also has a more defined neck sculpt) and put it on my custom body. Also swapped the T800 legs for the original Zod legs, since they were thinner on the thigs i added some Soldier story muscle add on (i removed the sculpted veins wich looked weird with the pants on). Looks even better i think but i have to rework the chest as it is way to light colored for the hs... The work is never over when you get into custom stuff lol

Wow, just embarrasing for the "stock" HT there. Looks laughingly bad.. ..and I have two of them..:slap :lol

That's some dedication, buying several different bodies at high cost for just one figure, but looks worth it. What pants are you using? I got a spare set of pants to bash my third figure but really I would like to get rid of them all, the MMS238 pants really look like **** on the figure.

Thanks guys :)

Hey olbert! I have a small question: i have an unused tech noir body too... Planned to use it for a kit bash, but first thing i noticed once i tried the mms 238 head on it, is how much thinner the neck is...
From what you are saying, i understand that somehow youve made de mms 136 torso fit, and look appropriate with another head...
How did you do that? Any tips?
I wanted to use the whole body, not replace another torso with the 136 torso, but still, the neck is too thin...

They're essentially the same bodies, though this one has more damage obviously. Both require mods to look good. Apparently you have to get the Zod body--for some bizarre reason the largest muscle body HT has created yet--to make him look right without further mods.

Yes Michael Shannon, that tank of a man.

Michael Shannon>Arnie>Robert Patrick. It's been well documented. He was the model for the T-600s in Salvation.

It's not that he's smaller than previous releases, it's that his head is bigger, thus making his body look smaller in comparison.
you right kara and you can add my t1 is in walking pose with the legs bended..so it results smaller than the t2 in stand position
btw I do not like this version of body ...
