Thanks Yankee, Skull, and Flight! The only thing about the light up feature that annoys me is its not like the DX13. It's a button you press that keeps it lit for a minute then turns off, instead of being a switch that you can flip on and off.

in my opinion is a better choice
you will save your batteries and you can use it only for your photoshoot or to show it at your friends ;)
nice touch ht one of the best for sure (minus the the woman hips ;) )

I'm liking this fig more as time goes on. I think it probably has the most accurate movie likeness out of anything in my collection (though I do have DX05 Indy and DX07 Luke so maybe not that great competition).

I guess it also depends on which stills from the movie you compare it to. Not so great against this howler :)

Them lips:lol

I agree though, the head sculpts are top notch, only let down is the small upper torso/neck area, had they got that right the figure would have been perfect.

Reworked it again (sorry for the crappy pics)
Out of the box on the Left, custom on the left.
Custom body recipe is
Zod full body chest (belly and waist) ( i may try Mos superman rubber chest part as its beefier than Zods).
TTM20 (T800) legs,
Shoulder+biceps MOS Superman (inner shoulder swivel joint are T800)
T800 forearms (MOS elbow forearm peg replaced with T800 peg)
buffed up Neck
headsculpt base reworked (hairdryer) to fit the beefier neck.

Zods body out of the box is already much better than the original T800 body, proportions are in sync with the big headsculpt. Ive went the extra miles because i found the shoulder, biceps (had weird form too), thighs not big enough, the forearms are a tad shorter too on Zod but its really nothing.
Zods is basically a taller, beefed up version of the T800 TTM20 body.
It needs to beef up the neck and maybe the trap shoulder.

That looks great. I'm happy enough with just padding the neck, but going the extra mile makes a big difference. Still baffles me how Hot Toys thought that Zod warranted a larger body than peak body size Arnold. I mean, look at this guy:

Thanks.
Yep just working the neck makes wonders for this figure.
HOT TOYS probably had to rework Zods body to be in sync with their Superman's.
To their defense, on screen Zod does look beffier as Shannon was wearing one of those muscle suit.
I was looking at my technoir figures too and tried the custom body with tech noir clothes.
It works pretty well but the HS is too small.
That is here the biggest **** up of the mms238, the big HS.
The T800 bodies TTM20 etc are still good for arnolds phisique, even if you need to beef up the neck or pad some parts to make it look even better,
but the HS is way too big for that body.
Hope Colonel Matrix wont suffer then same problem.

I don't think it will. We could actually forecast these problems with the prototype/solicitation pic. But HT futzed him enough to disguise it somewhat. I think Commando will be fine.
