These all look great.
I haven't done blood on mine yet, I'm waiting to pick up a proper pair of 238 pants.

For blood I use Tamiya translucent red and mix in Tamiya smoke.
This dries glossy and looks like blood.

For weathering I used craft acrylic flat black applied with a soft toothbrush. Dry brushed it. Had such a small amount of paint on the brush that I scrubbed the pants and only high spots picked up the paint.
P: you should have a try at it. Use some old cloth to practice, I'm sure you would find that you are more than capable.
thank you. and for the advice. i guess i just don't have (proper) paint & instruments.
or guts :lol
i liked to do dirt weathering by using soot from matches. but as i quit real cigarettes, i don't have matches anymore and am afraid to put actual paint on fabric.

================

alright another body returned from bodybuilding gym! only two more to go.
yes i'm lazy. could play shooters for an hour and imagine i'm a terminator instead.

btw technoir's stand is a couple of millimedaz lower than 238s (as i glued another stand to it and some soft material not to scratch the shelves), and with new boots and long pegs 136 and 238 have similar height (as you see. the difference is stand height difference).

This is a great shot. I find with Arnold figures, collectors really exaggerate his actual physique. Awesome, multi-Mr.Universe physique, but when he was filming these action movies, he simply wasn't as big as he was when competing. Pics like this make me feel fine with the unmodified size of the various Arnie figures...

"various" figures are ok, as MMS136 had small head that fit the body, and other figures fit small T2 size.
but do you say the MMS238 with a giant head, thin neck, no back & chest muscles, no trapezius muscles out of the box looks like man of this shape & size to you?

or does a shot with shadows from giant chest covering biceps + shoulder pads changing the whole silhouette (making the body longer, thus the shoulders narrower and the triangle between head & shoulders

invisible, like on a regular man) make you see what you want to see?

Some of those are from Genisys, I think Arnold is a bit bigger than the double.

:crying You open old wounds!

Seriously, that would have been an epic figure to own (as long as it turned out well).

I got so giddy when they showed that. The 12yo in me is still holding out hope. The only 1/4 I have is the endo and it would've looked great next to it[emoji31]

I still really like this figure. I don't pose him in a way that accentuates the thin neck and nothing else really bugs me. It's one of my favorites.

It's actually not a jumbo headsculpt.
Anyone who's worked on a film set (and I know some of you have, so have I) can tell you, any scenes like the pics above where a fit actor is half-naked, they get all pumped up right before shooting to look as impressive as possible. Arnold, being a former Mr. Olympia particularly excelled at getting the right pump for the right time. So of course he looked massive in those shots.
But the below shot was taken while filming the actual scene. The proportions to the figure aren't perfect, but they are actually pretty good. Accept it.
Everyone likes their figures to look a certain way. I'm not taking away from anyone's happiness with their figure. I'm simply suggesting that for those who don't have multiple T-800 figures, this one is actually pretty good right out of the box.

Yeah good post. I bet Arnie's weight & muscle mass fluctuated a bit during shooting, I'm not sure how long The Terminator shoot was on? I would imagine long enough for Arnie's weight to go up & down. I suppose we just always think of Arnie in his prime as one big mother.

The head is bigger just like MOS headsculpt.
If you try zod or Supes head on the mms238 you could see it too.

Its not a question of taste or movie pics.
Its just a fact and pictures of all the t800s headsculpt show that.
How can the mms136 bd head and mms238 head can fit the same body and look right?
They cant. The body proportion are wrong with the mms238, Perfect with the mms136.
The tech noir has the Perfect head body ratio.

Happy for those who enjoy their bobble head t800 right of the box.
That i Will accept.

why do you continue posting the pic i posted but don't start reading what i wrote?
1) shoulder pads change the figure there completely, making the body long, the trapezius muscles invisible => the shoulders appear to have regular size and width.
2) giant chest muscles cover & shadow half of the biceps width.
3) he is shown clearly in the beginning of the movie without a shirt, and it doesn't look like this.
4) well he had lots of behind-the-stage photos, and you stick to the only one with optical illusion (they were making him taller as i remember) to prove something that doesn't exist.
and all those "accept it", you sound like some weirdo brainwasher cultist.

and especially this part:

this figure has the weirdest head/body proportion, while it had to look biggest of all terminators, it looks like a kid.

What's a good body to switch to that also matches the skin tone HT used?

I re-posted the pic, because I couldn`t bother scan the same pic I have from a magazine from roughly 1987. Maybe you don`t realize this, based on your comment, but I assumed you had... but that`s a pic of Arnold, NOT the figure. So your points about the shoulder pads and such, didn`t make any sense considering the pic is the actual person.
I`m not a cultist. Everyone has heroes, or idols, or people they are fans of. When I had the opportunity to meet Arnold in 2009, I couldn`t believe I was taller and bigger than him. Obviously, he was no longer the physical specimen he was when younger, but for whatever reason, I was still expecting to meet the larger than life person I grew up watching.
As I've said, I'm not tearing down anyone's enjoyment of their figure, or their mods (some of the Arnie collections on here are staggering!). I'm just saying that for anyone who doesn't have the figure, and are considering getting it, the figure looks pretty good right out of the box. If you guys want to keep telling folks that it's not worth getting, or that it needs a lot of work to look good, I respectfully disagree. This is mine, within the first 10 minutes I got it out of the box, totally unmodded:
T8003.JPG
Sure, the cellphone gives it some distortion, but no one can convince me that it doesn't look like Arnie, or the T-800 from that scene in the film...

No one said its not worth getting.
Nor that it does not look like Arnold.
Its just badly proportioned with a head too big.
The picture comparing all headsculpt show that fact.
Now ypu can clearly get him in cool pose and angles wich Will make him look good right out of the box.
But it doesnt change the fact that the head body ratio is wrong.
To me the only mandatory mod to do is the neck mod.
If some are satisfied by the figure right out of the box more power to them.
To me its just wrongly proportioned and need a bit of work.
