Yeah, but it's not like you will be able to achieve that look. He's wearing the Tech Noir gloves in the poster. Not to mention he'll have a big gaping hole in his chest without the shirt. :lol

****!! I never noticed the gloves! :lol Yeah, that hole in the chest is problem, but I was thinking about using the MMS 117 body, since I have the DX10. I guess I still have to buy some gloves. Even with the Tech Noir gloves, it won't be %100 accurate because of the metal studs. For some reason Arnie was wearing the wrong gloves in the promotional photos :lol

I'm keeping the T-600s and leather-jacket John Connor as they are at least in some way related to T1 canon. The other stuff is going though. Its an attempt to kill off Terminator completism, so that in the future I don't feel compelled to buy every single Terminator figure no matter how crap or mediocre the film/TV show is. And I'm selling that very cool and unique Elvis1976 BD Marcus Wright so as to kill off completism for customs aswell. Thusly I will now only buy a custom based on T1 or T2. All in the name of scaling back on the hobby basically. Here's hoping it works.

Not to mention the T-600's and the John Connor are the coolest figures from that line. I'm missing a couple of figures from salvation, the exclusive T600's and the T700 diorama from that line, I have toy'd with the idea of picking up the diorama but its a bit boring an would only cramp me for much needed space in my cabinet.

finally understood what i don't like about faces (except for famous orange goo):
- the intact face is too round. it's totally round. and with a duckface lips.

Yeah, hate to say it but they've kinda gone and MMS117ed him again since DX13. Except they're doing it all over the place, seems to be a HT 'thing'. The new Loki and Wolverines have the same thing where the sculpts improved when people elongated them in photoshop. Thankfully in the case of DX13 it doesn't destroy the likeness. There's no denying the features and the eyes (even with PERS). And in the case of this figure, I'm putting my doubts about the likeness down to the lack of eyebrows and a deliberate intention by HT to make him look deadened, like the Winston puppets.

Pipe bomb is certainly not attached to the base, you can see it is lifted up because he is standing on it, final version may change though.

I have waited for this version of the terminator for a long time, and this figure has almost everything i would want it to have except one important piece:an undamaged version of his grey tee. Believe it or not, this is the first time we have gotten ANY version of this as it is very different from the t2 version. Without it, you cant make him look as he did when he said "Ill be back!" He didnt have a big bullet hole in his chest when he said that! Its a critical component to make this awesome figure, and I really hope Hot Toys adds one before the release. If enough people ask for it, they may.

Honestly though, looking at that hi-res shot of the standalone figure on it's own, without the fancy backgrounds or poses, the headsculpts look perfect to me. They don't even look like they need to be elongated or ****ed with. So I dunno. :dunno

I'm quite pleased with it. It's much better than the prototype head that was used for the DX 13 specs/pics.

elongating heads is not the case!
they don't look short, they look ROUND while a terminator's face is anything but round.
its side lines, from hairline to jaw, are straight and vertical. that's what that head misses.

Indeed. And I'm still at a stage where my excitement for the figure overwhelms any nitpickery I might do. I'm not even clear on my own ideas about what might be wrong with it. Somewhere further down the line maybe I will be and I'll complain away in the hopes that the 2.0 (or is it 3.0) will fix things.

I dunno, as much as I'd like to think Arnie actually has a T-800 endoskeleton under his skin I don't think he does. :D So I personally wouldn't use the endoskeleton itself as much of a guide as to Arnie's likeness. But maybe you're right, as I said I'm still not even clear myself on what I think at the moment.
