1/6 '89 Batmobile is my grail but for that price and a shrunken rear end, i'm out. I'll wait for the specs & price. If its worse fears confirmed, i'm going to buy the Tumbler again!

Im not worried about the price YET.

But, Im concerned about them changing the size (is this a change of size from the proto we seen or his he talking about the proto itself to the actual 1/6th size?)

If the shipping box is that big, this will be a shipping nightmare. Not in price alone. You are now talking about being shipped from semi trucks (sorry dont know that actual name for that type of shippingfor oversized stuff). If its really this big, I see alot of damage if shipped from semi trucks.

Price better be same level as Tumbler.

But the shrunken/shorten rear will distort the look of the model. Not something they should do.

If they shortened the proto, why wouldnt they take some from the front and the back, to even it out. Not take it all from the back.

The proto was shrunken guys. There was a pretty indepth conversation here at the time. the back fenders and wheel area was completely off from the movie version.

There's no way the box needs to be anything close to 2 meters long. That's about 6 feet! So the translation of the article states this and that the rear of the car had to be drastically shortened? Uh... something does not compute.

The Batmobile is less than 22 feet in total length (counting fins). That means a 1/6 version should be smaller than 48 inches in length. Actually closer to 40 or so.

I'm pretty sure you guys are worrying over a non issue. I cannot explain why the article would state those things. But they don't make sense.

Will it be EXACTLY 1:6 in scale? No idea. Possibly not. But it should be pretty darn close and even if it were bigger than 1:6 it wouldn't need a box as big as that article preports.

Relax. For now. :lol

Just like all of their anime, videogames and bathrooms :lol

Seems likely in the interview that he was saying there's now way they could make it full length and charge less than $1000. Or words to that effect. That certainly doesn't mean the final release batmobile will be that much.

Certainly not cause to panic. And if they do charge a crazy price like that, well, I can think of a lot of other cool Batman stuff made by other companies to get with the $500 or so I was expecting to pay (I'm looking at you Sideshow with your new 1/6 line please don't let me down please please please...:pray::pray::pray:).

If this is indeed a production nightmare I can't imagine them making that many of them.

Maybe this will actually be a limited edition collectible. :lol

Worst thing about this pic is that is the correct scale. Fecking beast!
The Tumbler is a go-kart by comparison

You're either eyeballing it or kidding, because that is not the correct scale. Based on all available sources for the real car, the longest estimate for a 1/6th scale Batmobile is just under 44 inches. Placed perpendicularly in a 64 1/8 inch tall detolf, it would be about 4 inches shy of the third shelf. :lecture
