I really like Carla aswell as re6 Ada. I hope they make both. Since its essentially just an outfit swap (if they do re 6 Ada that is).

Is the lack of texture intentional?

She looks very porcelain

That's just the effect of BB cream :lol.

But, I like the way that the figure has turned out - it was well worth the wait, in my opinion.

I like RE6 Carla Ada as well, both outfits are nice, I agree. I'd be happy with a nice mix of REUC/DC/RE4 and RE6 figures for the next couple of years. That's if Hot Toys could up production and release six a year. HAHAHA! :(

Well ideally this and whatever other RE figures they release in the next year or two are great sellers and Hot Toys ends up milking the series truly. That would be kind of nice.

You can tell what they did before was basically confusion and misunderstanding. They saw that the RE5 and 4 figures were doing decent so they went with variants and such to avoid having to spend much money on actual production. They would have did a lot more if they had more faith in the license.

Resident Evil provides something actually worth expanding on. Most licenses Hot Toys gets heavy with, mainly Predator and Iron Man, really don't deserve it. Basically remodels and variations everywhere. Being that Resident Evil is a huge game franchise, there are countless enemies and iconic characters that are all entirely unique from each other. I can only hope people buy this stuff and Hot Toys decides to expand, wanting to release characters from all the major games.

I think their marketing is bad though. This stuff should be available in the Capcom stores. Gamers need to know these figures even exist. I highly doubt the average RE4 lover has any idea who Hot Toys is or that this Ada is coming out or that they even made Leon stuff years ago.

Also I am hoping the grappling hook has a wire included. I've always been curious to see how viable of an idea it would be to actually have a 1/6 figure held in part by something like that. Would make for an interesting display to basically have her in midair grappled to the ceiling of a case or something. Anyone know if this is risky (maybe warping the arm joint or something)?

Not to put a damper on the excitement for this, but this release seems very redundant now considering all of the others have been long sold out and very hard to come by now.

I've been waiting for this figure since that first wave of characters was released. Presumably, they did not think she'd sell back then (and that may be why she's $200 now). I'm very happy that they figured out a way to offer her that would be profitable to them.

The only factor that means anything to me is that I'm getting what I want. Finally.

People who don't have any of the others would likely skip this because it doesn't make sense without them

I have six Sideshow zombies and no zombie killer. All it takes is one.

I want to get the chainsaw RE4 figure. I remember he used to go for really cheap (like around seventy dollars) but if I recall he recently started to finally climb in price.

That was a weird choice when he came out. He sat for ages.

I never understood why they made him instead of Ada.

I think it was a smart move by Hot Toys actually and one pretty unusual from them too. He was a highly advertised enemy from the game and one of the more famous "generic" enemies. He was also basically the first challenge you had to overcome too. Also we needed enemies which usually do not get figures so it was nice to actually have someone to pose fighting Leon.

Like you said though he shelf warmed for a long time. Too bad now that I want him he isn't so easy to get anymore :gah:

Ada would have definitely sold better than Chainsaw Ganado. I still bought mine when he first came out and really enjoy having him in my collection, though.

I think this release is good news for HT collectors. It shows follow through on their part. It had been so long since they first teased at this figure that I thought it might just get skipped due to their busy schedule with Avengers and Dark Knight stuff, but here it is. It also shows that they aren't afraid to revisit old lines far in the future. I'm not saying that this means Watchman fans will finally get their Rorschach figure or POTC fans will get Barbossa, but it's nice to know they're putting their efforts into something like this.

I didn't realize he was so played up in the advertising. Makes more sense now.

Didn't the ones Sideshow sold come with the double chainsaw from Mercenaries? It's a wicked cool figure, for sure. I have to wonder if the slow sales are what scared them away from making similarly risky decisions in later lines (Watchmen, POTC, etc.).

I wish they were more prolific. The game has so many badasses that would have been killer figures.

You're correct. The double bladed chainsaw was used by the Super Salvador enemy in the mercenaries mini-game. He was a 10 feet tall Chainsaw Ganado.

I'd like to see more monsters from the series as a whole. Nemesis and Mr. X would be a dream HT figures for me. The Verdugo and Monk Gonado from 4 would be cool as well, but I don't see that ever happening.

No, but maybe someone will explore a statue license someday. Mendes Salazar, and Saddler were best in monster form.

Come on HT <3

I would all of them but not Steve.

I dont like Steve, but he would have the golden lugers, and i do like his outfit. And i love the game. So id snap him up!

We still need a RE3 or RE1 Jill, preferably with a headsculpt that doesn't suck like the past Hot Toys ones.

Easy pass!!! Was hoping for something better, especially at this price point.

Now please bring on HT RE6 Chris, Leon, Jake and Sherry.

Id love a real RE 1+3 Jill, but im in no hurry at the moment as i already have them in custom HT form.

In fact, just 20 minute ago i paid for my 5th Jill figure -_-

I will try to cap re4 Ada to 2 though (One as re 4, and another for re 2 custom).

I wish that they would HD Remake and Zero so we can get a Rebecca!
