Yeah. That pic makes it look like the arm is pulled out where the protos show the joint hugging his shoulders. Hope it's a poseability thing can can be adjusted.

If it wasn't rubber, the inner elbow would have a visible pivot joint... unless HT has come up with some ingenious way of hiding that now... it's rubber.

Ah. Okay, I see. But I thought this was an elbow bend right here, no? The lines in that inner elbow section, aren't those from the joint?

I'm sorry if I can't see what you mean lol. BE REAL NICE IF WE COULD SEE SOME ACTION FROM THIS GUY FROM HT

I'm more worried about the 'straps' by his abdomen tearing/stretching with turning the abdomen from side to side. It looks like the right-most strap might be exhibiting some wear...?

I think that's the design of the skin you're seeing and not the joint itself.

It really depends on how it's attached. The Play Arts figure didn't have the straps attached at the bottom which allowed good movement.

I could be wrong but I have a feeling the final product will look a lot different and better then the prototype. Just like the mark 42 prototype vs the final product etc

I hope so, there's quite a few things wrong with this right now.

Rubber arms possibly.

Wrong color hair, needs to be more grey/white.

Thicker sword, way too tiny looking.

Really hope the Murasama isn't short... going to be using that one.

And I wonder how they'll do it, is it metal? HT always have done metal katanas but this one is red.

Raiden is an awesome character :nono

That's debatable... He definitely ended cooler than he started out, but he's most definitely not the most wanted MGS figure

It isn't even the most wanted version of Raiden, I believe that's the MGS4 version

I prefer the Rising version personally, so I'm not complaining

I love this design, i just hope that it doesn't spell the end of the Metal Gear ot Toys partnership. Kojima KNOWS what characters we want to see!

Well said.
I really want this figure to be at least* fairly decent.
If does well, then maybe we will get a mgs4 version.....one day.

Sideshow says its shipping in March, but other sites (like hlj) have it for December. Doubt overseas buyers will get it that fast though, but hopefully they get it soon so we can see how he ends up

I think this design blows MGS4s out the water. But im partial to sleek black sexiness. MGS2 Raiden is my next fav Raiden design, Skull suit is some sexyness!

Revengeance design > MGS4 design... not even close.

The MGS4 Raiden is more man in suit... this guy looks more cyborg and the design is overall more sleek and bold.

I like both designs, but I would've taken the MGS4 version over this since its apart of the main games.

we already have a Medicom MGS4 Raiden, it's decent enough apart from the articulation looks pretty close to the game.

so rather than another MGS4 Raiden why not a MGS2 Raiden?

That's the Raiden people hate most though... after the MGS2 debacle Kojima and co had to try to make him likable by making him a cyborg. Worked for the most part.
