He dies in 1991 after an AIDS infected blood transfusion he got after a really bad car accident. Poor guy. People that worked with him said he was the nicest guy ever be around. Sad. Well seriously, how successful did you expect this thread to be!? The TS is asking a company to basically screw over its past customers who've purchased some or all of the products in a particular line of collectables. Did the TS really expect all of those customers to enthusiastically say "HELL YEAH. Who cares that we already spent money on 14" Preds.. give us one that's F'n GINORMOUS and completely out of scale with the others!!! DOOOOO IT, DOOOO IT NOW. C'mon..". Same thing with the thread about re-releasing and updating previously released Preds. Same concept: asking a company to screw over past customers.

Asking for a taller Predator is in no way asking the manufacturing company to screw the collectors.
After all, who said all predators are the same size? In the movies you can see that they have different heights. So that's just silly IMHO.
And as for the idea of updating or re-releasing the AvP preds, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that either.
If you're such a completist that you feel compelled to buy a figure that was released a while ago for exorbitant prices it's your decision. With that you're not helping the manufacturer in any way.

EDIT: Having said that, I have no problem with the size of HT's preds.

uh.. The actor who played P1, P2 and the P2 Elder. If the HT P2 and P2 Elder are the same size how would you justify making P1 (which is what sparked this thread) taller those 2, when the same actor played all 3!?

That's my point, YOU CAN'T. Shorter? Yes. Taller!? NOPE. Kevin Peter Hall was the tallest actor to date, to play a Predator (7'2"). Ian Whyte (AVP Preds/Wolf) is 7'1".. which means at the very least: P1, P2 and the P2 Elder (all played by KPH) and Scar, Chopper, Celtic, AVP Elder and Wolf (all played by Ian) should all be about the same size. The only Predators that would be shorter as you pointed out, would be some of the lost Preds. But the Lost Preds were played by members of the LA Lakers.. so in general you're talking about ALL of them being at least a minimum of 6 feet tall. And since HT has only released one lost Predator (Borg) it's kind of a moot point.

And they are all 7ft tall anyway....they had to use short Preds for when Celtic, Scar, and Chopper were all in frame....but whenever they got a close up, it was Ian.

Yeah Im with you man thay should just stay the same and if people want it bigger they should get creative and make it bigger.....

After thinking about it I do agree the Hot Toys Preds should be taller and not ever 1:6 Model from HT should be 12inch given that the Actor/Actress may not of been 6 foot but 14inch for the Pred works out to be 7 foot
