Well seriously, how successful did you expect this thread to be!? The TS is asking a company to basically screw over its past customers who've purchased some or all of the products in a particular line of collectables.

Thread is about two ideas:
- about first Predator
- about future Predator's - if HT decides to re-release them with some improvements/even better design & etc. I'm sure they will, cause they are soooooooooooo popular. And if it happens - height should be upgraded too.

If I remember right, from the first Predator movie, when the Pred picked up Arnie to look him eye to eye he seemed to lift him up about a foot or so. that would make me think that the original Predator was about 7 feet tall or so, but I don't really know how tall Arnie is or was supposed to be in the film. I think HT is doing a great job so far and I think my pred figs look good next to any of my other figs, they tower over all of them, LOL.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is 5'11," probably closer to 5'10 (again, he lies about his height - just do a web search for Schwarzenegger + height). So the preds are perfectly to scale.

Well Danny Glover is 6' 3½" and he DOES NOT lie about his height.. and the difference between him and P2/P2 Elder was not minor like this:

And keep in mind, that P1 is on a slightly higher base.

I understand Sined, but do YOU understand: HT has already produced a P2 and P2 Elder figure at 14"? The actor who played P1 also played P2 and the P2 Elder. So why would the P1 magically be 2 inches taller!? And in regards to your second point: if HT re-releases any of the previous Preds with upgrades in both design+height that, imo, is screwing over past customers.

Let me ask this Sined: How many HT Predators do you actually own?

Edit: As far as re-releases go, why? TBH, there really wasn't that much wrong with them in the first place. What do people think HotToys are, Hasbro? That's just a waste of time and catering to the crybabies who don't want to pay the appreciated price they're fetching on the secondary market. "Hey, @#$% everybody else, I'm selfish, do what I want just for me!"

Haha yea I wanna know too now. He doesn't seem to be bothered by the fact that a 16" Pred standing next to a bunch of 14" preds would really look terrible IMO.

No "screw up" here at all. If they will do it in 5 years or smth why not. And the main thing - HT making great figures & money from selling this figures, not the charity, if people will buy this figs & they will be able to do it - they will do it. And Preds is the most successful HT product line, IMO, some people still ready to pay 400-1000$ for AvP Preds now & this is one more important thing taht shows how popular this things are.

I agree that it was kind of pointless bringing the issue up at this stage. However the OP was correct. The preds should indeed have been even taller than they are. And it is particularly noticeable in that group shot of the pred, dutch and billy. It doesn't look like theres even as much as a head difference in height between them. A pity.

Still, I agree that since they didn't push any of the previous preds to 16" there probably wasn't much point doing it now.

In the email I got for the sale of the statue he states: "This is a full resin statue, there is NO LATEX anywhere on this so it will looks just as good as when you first bought it 100 years from now. The statue measures 7'5" in height, 24" deep and 50" tall so this is true life-size. And this is NOT to be confused with the older pieces that have weak details or do not have a back... this is a full statue, all resin with movie-sharp detailing."

Either way, I am happy with the scale of the preds the way they are now and don't need them to make them any taller unless it is to make each predator a little shorter or taller so they don't all look the same exact height. Anybody else agree that they shouldn't all be the exact same height? If I remember correctly when Predator 2 came out I think I read in Fangoria that he was a younger predator and smaller than the one we saw in the first Predator movie. I do understand Hot Toys using the same body molds for all the predators though to keep the final cost down as low as possible for us collectors, who always find a way to complain no matter what, LOL. oh well, you can't please everybody all of the time, LOL.

um.. I really don't see the relevance with this!? You can find plenty of "life size" Predator pieces with varying heights. I've seen some ranging from 7' to 8'.
