Right, just like that amazing Flying Dutchman Jack sparrow, Rorschach, or the unused predator. It's not like they made prototypes of those, then decided not to make figures of them, right?

it's not coming. Unfortunately.

I wouldn't mind being proved wrong, but I'm just being realistic.

What predator Prototype did they make and not use? know where i could see some pics?

prototype was made but wasnt iron monger shelved due to size and cost?

That was my understanding

Donno which it was, but it was an earlier AVP one. it's on JC Hong's shelf of shelved prototypes. there was pictures if it in that magazine interview from late last year. the same one that had the prototype image of the Avatar figure.

Where'd you come up with that one??

Since I bought both the Tumbler and Batpod at the time I was always in that thread, that's how I know Hot Toys lost money.
Also dont forget guys, Hot Toys made the Aliens Power Loader with Ripley inside. Imagine it a little bigger and her leg, chest, and arms covered up and you basically have an Iron Monger with a figure inside.

I really hope the Iron Monger figure goes into production. Such an awesome design and I think HT will go ahead with it.

Seems like the next step in their awesome Iron Man line up, I wouldn't give up on seeing it just yet.

Oh great :slap where the hell am I supposed to find the cash for this one... and yet I know I will. I must.

I'd imagine it wouldn't be as simple as that dude.

Don't forget that Bic makes butane lighters. Imagine a lighter a little bigger with a reactor containment vessel and you basically have a hand-held nuclear reactor with tritium inside.
Basically.

:lecture I have to agree.
They need to approach this project differently based on the shape and mechanics of the figure's joints. For example, Monger's legs are too far apart to have a figure fit into them.

As far as selling a figure at a loss...well, those were different economic times. Whatever price HT comes up with for their Iron Monger I would be hard pressed to believe that they are selling it below cost.

It might not even be an "action figure" ..it could just be a statue like thing, well that's what i remember hearing.

I think they'll just have an upper torso Jeff Bridges in the body section. I see this coming but I'm sure it'll be a $500 item. If done right- will be a masterpiece!:clap

HT has a lot on the back burner here. Between what they have to get out from their announcement backlog, what they just announced and what they will most likely announced soon, there is a lot to be done.

I'm not saying this won't get done but with licenses like Sucker Punch for example which needs the hype of the film to help sell figures compared to Iron Man figures which seem to sell themselves no problem, I can see why there isn't much of a rush.

I dont remember seeing anything else being displayed that was a shelved prototype they are not going to release. Besides it was mentioned also in an interview or two so all added up and Eric Toys2 saying that it will be released tells me it's a go
