How did Heroes get SO AWFUL?!

This show has been melodramatic garbage for years. Season 1 started with promise but then it quickly turned to soap opera crap. Even bringing back Bryan Fuller did nothing to stop the free fall. Poor writing, directing, acting, weak fx - there's nothing of quality at all about the steaming pile that is Heroes.

Well I liked the concept of the season 3 circus. However, it got stale fast and then we dealt with the publicity stunt with Claire and the other girl kissing.

Putting 2 episodes back to back nearly killed me last night. The show has a great cast, but is so boring now. We're used to these kind of genre shows like Lost, BSG, anything Whedon, even Smallville - being so heavily plotted so it's clear there's a plan for any given season - but for this show it seems they throw things at the wall with no direction at all.

Not the bandwagon type, but I LOVE how this season is going and can't wait to see how it turns out.

Yeah, last night was terrible...
WTF is going on??...
You can tell that even the actors aren't trying anymore...

There really isn't a plot at all... nothing to look forward to...
and the world still doesn't care about them...
It's now completely in-transcendent...

Can't wait for LOST!!
I think I'm pretty much done watching TV shows after Lost ends...

The same exact thing happened with Prison Break.
I loved that show and actually liked the first three
seasons more than most people, but when season
4 started, they just screwed everything up and
seemed to toss out all the aforementioned seasons
and rules. The characters didn't even act like
themselves anymore. It was so sad to watch
it spiral to the end.

Amen on LOST starting again, Brotha! :banana

I'm sure the writers strike didn't help... but they've had more than enough time to self-correct and never did.

Speaking of which, that's exactly what killed Prison Break,
too! I wouldn't be surprised if Heroes were still affected, too.
I worked on Prison Break as an extra up until literally
the very last day of shooting (the writer's strike shut them
down) and I was looking so forward to going back after it
was all over, but nooooo...stupid writer's strike. :p

For a show that's touted as a live-action comic book, it's 99.9% word balloons and 0.1% splash pages. The most action-packed moment of the two-hour mid-season premiere was when HRG tazed Darth Maul. Yay. :sleep

I have yet to watch a full episode this season... I fast forward half of it. and I'll drop it once 24 starts.

i don't even think i made it through all of season 2. I stopped when Hiro started time traveling with that blonde drunk dude back in medievil times.

Turned into a friggin' soap opera IMO. Plus it got a little complicated, much more so than LOST. Too many tangents that I didn't feel like trying to figure out.

I stopped about the same time with Heroes . . never finished the second season . . . I hear that it was a huge hit as far as illegal downloading goes though . . . I may give the series another chance on DVD if I can get them real cheap . .

I am new to LOST and just burned through all 5 seasons in the last 2 months . . I think LOST is outstanding . . I am wondering how it will be having to wait a week between episodes . . . lol

It's almost as painful as the week-long wait between episodes of Dexter.

You must be made of strong stuff... 2 back-to-back would have at least put me in a coma :lol

It's better than last season and has potential to be good. I agree it is boring in certain spots but I like it. I just wish they would make Peter bad ass again. Teasing us doesn't help.

Me too. I thought it was cool how Peter's ability from season 1 and 2 put him in league with Sylar. Now its just like.....yawn what power will he borrow this week.
This is something I was hoping to see. An epic fight between the two most powerful people on the show. Its about 45 seconds into the video.

First off, NOTHING is as painful as that....:lol

And I checked of Heroes out after Hiro stabbed Sylar from about 100 miles away and Sylar just stood there and let it happen.....LAME

Gonna have to challenge you on that one. There were some good episodes, but also some pretty bad ones during the Tennant era.

Nowhere near as bad as the Colin Baker years, mind...

Love & Monsters was BAAAAAAAAAAAAAD, only one I can think of.

I think I just went into Heroes not expecting a grand scheme like LOST or BSG. I think it's fun and I like the idea of the Carnival as Cult thing.

And yes I can think of a few Tennant stinkers. I hate Daleks in Manhattan. :cuss

I loved Love and Monsters. That episode totally got me into ELO. :lol

Honestly, I wish that Heroes didn't have completly contradictory plotline every season negating the previous season....just gives no reason to watch each subsequent season. How many times have Peter's powers changed?????

As for Love & Monsters, I wish there was a "shake my head in shame" emoticon, but this will suffice :banghead:banghead:banghead
