Im considering sellingmy entire batman hot toys collection. I love these collectibles but have decided its time to part with them :'( So I was wondering your guys' opinions. My collection sconsists of: TDK batman, Two-face, harvey dent, bank robber joker, nurse joker, DX01, DX02, cop joker, and original joker plus the noble collection framed poster with props inside and clock. Each figure has its own body so it is a total of 9 figures. They have been displayed though, and I would clean the dust off of them to the best of my ability. one or two have missing parts but nothing major-what do you think I should ask for this? Thanks!!

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

Do you even watch the behind the scenes stuff about movies? :dunno

Bale misunderstood what Nolan meant by getting bigger to play Batman and got fat. Then he had to tone it down to muscle. He was pretty ____ing big, dude. :lol

I know that Bale goes to the extreme to match the role. Any pics of him misunderstanding what Nolan wanted? Like big big or just pudgy?

If you want top dollar, your best bet is probably to sell each piece individually on evil bay.

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

good luck with that Two-Face. you won't have a hard time for sure. and yeah, selling them individually will net you the best return. Are u switching to another line? Why not at least keep dx1 and 2? :D

the closest thing you'll see to him being fat is the training scene at the beginning when he's balancing/fighting on the peers, but even then, he was still more mucle than fat. Bale was more big muscle in this movie which takes part in the bat suit looking big. In TDK, he was much more lean and toned

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GA1SHOIUIQU"]‪The Making of Batman Begins (2005) - The Journey Begins (1 of 2)‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

This is the behind the scenes documentary everyone is talking about. The relevant parts are from about 6:36 to 9:30. It talks about Bale going from the extreme thiness of his Machinist character to Batman, by stuffing his face and lifting a lot of weights. But he got too big "like a bear" not quite the look Nolan wanted, so they made him get cut and more toned.

As for pics of too big or pudgy Bale, there are none in the film itself, but he does look a little heavy in parts of the making-of (particularly the harness scene with the cape). By the time they started filming, his body had the right size and tone that Nolan wanted.

Whats with the glossy new knees on the Bale figure. This looks a lot bulkier than my OC Bats.

Glossy knees but non-glossy gauntlets. :dunno

made a slight correction...this wasn't brought up in the behind the scenes.

Lol, yeah, that's true, the dude simply couldn't have pulled that out with roids.

Thanks for this. I love it when actors really give their life for their art.

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

Collect figures for example, right...

I haven't bought a figure in over a year.

Like wasting your time on an internet forum making incorrect assumptions about Bale's physique. :monkey1 :lol

Let's not blow things out of proportion. I come on here a couple times a day, and I made one comment about the figure being too bulky. Don't overexaggerate it for amusement. I'm not the one correcting people and lecturing about his physique, I don't gawk at men's bodies enough to know how big Christian Bale was in a movie. :cuckoo:
