Not the PPO smart ass, there was a member saying that they were taking preorders for this at SDCC even though they didn't know a price. My cousin is there and they told her they aren't taking orders yet.

Think about it for a second. It's one "friend of a friend" story and even the Freak who posted it said he didn't know for sure. Take that into account and then look how badly their customer service department was harassed about it. Basically to the point where info shot up (despite being early and not saying much other than HERE!) so they could get back to business. If Sideshow were selling this at SDCC, they'd have been mobbed and we'd definitely have known about it.

As I put in my post that I also wanted to have somebody else approach the SDCC booth and try to get a PO there and get a second confirmation.

I don't think my friend was taken in by a con but it's possible that the service rep may have made a mistake about being able to take a PO( he did it on preview night). Everybody here has worked with Service reps before and sometimes they have different information and not all of them accurate.

Still have no idea how SS was able to issue him a receipt for 2 figures without a price. All I know is that if my friend said it, that's how it happened.

But I want to say again, because I'm sorta wary about the whole thing and I want to make sure I get this figure, when SSC puts it in their website I'll PO it again unless I get the chance to talk to the store owner myself and confirm his story first hand.

I talked with my friend yesterday and he mentioned that he ran into the owner of my LCS, where I get my HT figures, at the SSC booth and the owner was able to do a pre-order. I asked my friend, "are you sure he meant it's the batman begins Original costume figure and not the Batman demon exclusive?" and he was sure it was the OC.

If they actually took your preorder, wouldn't it show in your account given your friend said they had to verify it?
