So how much would a scalper make after paying all these people off? They'd have to sell these at crazy prices!
so thats roughly 180us$
, plus the original cost around 180$ too, so the total spend on the fig by a scallper would be 360, since they are selling for around 700$
roughly 350$ margin profit, multiply that into 10-20 per haul , a profit of 3500$per 10 haul.. decent sum by any means for a coupe of days work
someone said it was all bought by a single scalper??

Dunno about that,..

But it's well known that many ebay sellers (HT VIP members) which preorder, a bunch of figures and take them all in hand when they go to the store (Toy hunters) to pick them up :lecture

Dunno, about the limit ammount they can collect in fairs.. but I tell you that they do'nt have problems with regular releases :dunno

Re: HT Batman Begins - Batman/Wayne TF Ex. SSC PREORDERS in AUGUST

I'm fairly new this site and how Sideshow works, but have they ever announced a figure that they will carry but it sold out at some CON before SS was able to put them up for PreOrder?

You think if they announce a figure they will carry, that they will be getting their fair stock to sell on their site.

Thats why I am not too worried about these kind of scalpers and flippers, because if SS does get them, then we will all be fine, just don't wait too long to order it.

I thought they already were employed. Hot Toys needs their nimble little fingers to make all of this small stuff.:dunno

Faaaaaaaaar toooooooooo old to work in HT's sweatshop. :lecture:lecture:lecture

Interesting choice for the box art.

Awesome.

Is this the first HT box that has the front slide off like that?

Quite a few HT figures open like that. Some have an outer sleeve though.

Nop.. That box design is the same HT Marvel style they're using since Wolverine.

If you ask me.. is my favorite design certainly and I love it , Friendly collector 100% :)

Ah, I see. Out of 13 (actually only 10 would have had their own boxes), I think the only ones I own that doesn't have an outer sleeve style box are the DX's and James Dean which, if I remember right, has a hinge style front.

Just proves that I'm still a HT newb. :D

The only Marvel figure I have is the Mark IV and it has the sleeve style box. Which is also collector friendly.

Now I can remember:

Wolverine, Blade 2, Abigail, black widow, Thor, Odin, Spidey..(and NOT Marvel the 2 lee's from M Icon) use that box style

Cool pics of the box. Was came here to ask if anybody has seen the box display. Though has more of an iron man 1 scheme to it showing the body suit.

Re: HT Batman Begins - Batman/Wayne TF Ex. SSC PREORDERS in AUGUST

Nice to see it in hand. Was hoping for a foam tray like the Demon and Scarcrow figs but no biggy. Glad to see something different for the TDK figures. Reminds me a lot of the new Spidey box thats basically the chest area of his suit

Re: HT Batman Begins - Batman/Wayne TF Ex. SSC PREORDERS in AUGUST

Maybe since this figure has been released at a Convention, Sideshow will be able to post preorders soon. (Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know everyone is going to yell because it's not August yet.)

Re: HT Batman Begins - Batman/Wayne TF Ex. SSC PREORDERS in AUGUST

The more I see this the less I like the Wayne head. I still think the John Connor was their best CB likeness. Still glad they are releasing it though.

Re: HT Batman Begins - Batman/Wayne TF Ex. SSC PREORDERS in AUGUST

Yeah I also think the JC likeness was better - this is a nice head still, but I don't like how the hair cuts off abruptly around the side and back, driven by the fact that it's neckless. Not sure why this needed to be a neckless head

Re: HT Batman Begins - Batman/Wayne TF Ex. SSC PREORDERS in AUGUST

Loving the harness design on it's box! :clap

Reallu hoping I could get this figure soon!
