Thanks Alex- we have a timeframe now....Boy can you say this delay(?) is because you have requested many more to be produced by HT to meet demand????

Those two items just seemed to fit better for Spooktacular.

This seems reasonable, since this is a HT product and SSC is only the distributor for this figure. HT is calling the shots and not SS and so they are probably seeing the demand for this figure and re-assessing the situation to make it more profitable for them and to give more opportunity for collectors.
Makes sense to me.

I completely agree and think this is great news.

I don't know if HT is upping supply or if Sideshow is trying to avoid another preorder trainwreck (Guardian Predator brings back bad memories), but I see this as a good thing either way. I know these were supposed to be "Toy Fair Exclusives," but the demand for this figure in particular is crazy high and both HT and Sideshow would benefit by making this available to as many fans as reasonably possible.

I hope it is released in a high enough volume that everyone that wants one, and has a little patience, can have it for retail (or very close to retail) price. I also hope that all of those scalpers that bought dozens (hundreds?) end up with a ton of product that is hard to move (at a ridiculous high price) because of that.

A guy can dream, right?

It will be funny to have a pic of that hairy SOB scalper on the news saying that he is stuck with over $200K of products because HT is releasing this as a regular worldwide release.

If it's a regular release during Spook, that means it can go up at any time without warning and it can still sellout. It would depend on how many Sideshow can get their hands on.

I thought "regular release" meant no longer SS only for PO- other retailers will carry it....maybe not?

Still may have plentry to go around so it might be on a day or two- or even a few hours.....before it's sold out

I don't think that means Sideshow distributors will get some to sell, does it?
Buying directly from Sideshow means paying more than 100% more for the figure for me, so I'll avoid doing that if I can. 2x more is still less than $700 + shipping though lol.

Part of me is extremely disappointed that it's going to be such a long wait, but the other is extremely relieved. We already saw quite a few people drop off because of the 89 stuff that was shown during Comic-Con, but a lot of other announcements can be made between now and October and a lot more people can drop off during that gap.
