I'm really surprised this still hasn't sold out at SSC, shocked even. Never thought I'd see the day where Iron Man would be a more popular and sought after collectible than the Dark Knight.

Don't know. Seem like the paint job is off then the sculpt. Hard to really tell until in hand. Maybe someone here who owns one already can let us know?

In context to Sideshow's PPO, that's a reaching argument. All that means from Sideshow's perspective is that they're making the sale of this figure a priority to newsletter subscribers and streamlining the website for it. It's that customer service thing you were talking about the other day.

Yeah, well, it could have been a whole lot clearer. But I'm going to be a lot more cautious next time. Even the rep I talked to seemed to be pushing the product...but I guess that's his job.

How often are PPO's done? I've never seen one before this one as I've only been buying since Jan. I think a lot of the confusion also stems from many of you knowing the drill and others not. If this is typical of a PPO, then fine. But the nature of getting an email/newsletter saying it's a PPO and limited ed at that and a time, it makes the customer think they better order or regret it later. And your statement above does seem to not rule out the importance of PPO's.

I agree the first Iron Man film is the best, though saying the second film 'sucked' is a bit much imo considering it made $133million in it's opening weekend fifth-highest opening weekend ever

PPO are done a lot more than you think. I might be wrong, but I think depends how you set up you info in SS Newsletter determines how many newsletters for PPO you will get. Ex. If you check off what type of product lines or movie lines you are interested, then the more info you will get on those type of products. I remember when they started doing Star Wars figs, they were quite of few PPO's.

PPO are done a lot more than you think. I might be wrong, but I think depends how you set up you info in SS Newsletter determines how many newsletters for PPO you will get. Ex. If you check off what type of product lines or movie lines you are interested, then the more info you will get on those type of products. I remember when they started doing Star Wars figs, they were quite of few PPO's.

It's there for a reason. Next time just ignore the threads when there's a PPO. It's funny to get lost in it but when you start believing the hype, you're just setting yourself up for a doozy.

To answer your previous question, last PPO was in July. IM caused the site to crash and when it came back up, the Special Project was a PPO.

I think HT did one back in 05' for BB, then they released the OC around TDK, and now this guy for the toy fairs. So this is their third one.
