It's not about saving the money, honestly...it's about being willing to put in the time and effort to learn to do something for yourself rather than asking someone else to do it for you. That's the reason certain people are making an obscene amount of money tailoring little clothes...others aren't willing to do a little work and learn something as simple as cutting fabric along a template.

i have to say, it takes a little more skill than just cutting fabric along a template, especially for 1/6 clothing.

Agreed. Yes, you can learn but it is far from easy. My gf is great at sewing but she's having a hard time doing 1/6 clothing. She's determined though :lecture

yes totally agree with you sir, why mess something up when someone who prolly mastered 1/6 clothing ( such as cutting a cape or making clothes..etc) can do it at a very reasonable price.

Agreed. Definitely more skilled involved in tailoring something so tiny than that poster made it out to be, and for a price of 20 bucks or what have you I'd gladly pay a professional to do it for me.

I'd assume there will be if the capes aren't up to par on this since they were made for the prior Batman figures.

I could be wrong but I think lforigno has already said he's gearing up for cape production for this figure. The beauty of BB Bats is not having to break the cape pegs to switch it out.

I was mainly talking about the cape discussion. I just don't see why it's so hard for people to just give making a custom cape a shot. Then again, I'm one of those people who tries to do things themselves before going to someone else, so that's just my mindset. Before NECA made their Freddy vs. Jason figures? I sculpted a Jason my damn self! Granted, it wasn't that good, but I learned from it and started doing other things with what I learned.

That's mainly what I'm getting at. If more people would go try something as simple as making their own custom cape, they may discover they've got a talent for it and branch off into more complicated stuff.

I'm not trying to take anything away from the 1/6 tailors, because as I've said before, they do phenomenal work. Specifically Kato. I just don't like him on a personal level and would rather kill myself than give that guy a dime, so if one prospective customer of his goes out and finds that they've got a talent for making their own stuff and does that rather than paying him what he asks for doll clothes, it would make me tremendously happy.
