Sorry to ask this, but, what exactly means that Kato is doing the proto's cotume ? I mean, how does affect this to the final product?

Still remember how good the clothes of Two Face was in the proto:

And how bad it was in the final product:

So.. ..

Only thing that give me hope is Hot Toys is letting us know that Kato is behind the costume of this figure, so that means we have the right to think that we will get some real quality costume this time...

I would imagine Kato will teach hot toys how to make the suit using his designs and material, this is being massed produced so none of them will be made by the man himself.

not to mention that they've gotten better since all that Two-face figure was release

I know there have been QC issues, but over all the clothing on '89 joker looks great, as well as, while being the proto, the real leather used on the DX T800's clothes. Captain America's costume fromt he FA figure is great too.

Ya I agree there tailoring has improved, I have the original Kato suit and I'm sure hot toys will do a great job replicating it, I don't think there is much room for error when they have his designs to work from and his recommended material.

Love how the colors pop on the Kato outfit. Why did he make the shirt grey though? Isn't it more blue in the film?

Ya more then likely but probably with the addition of some new ones ( rocket launcher perhaps) , it would be an epic fail if they didn't include his knife or machine gun with the 2.0, old accessories yes but vital accessories for the character.

His Shirt is actually purple not grey but it looks like the HT 2.0 version looks more grey

The real film shirt is purple too but looks blueish due to the blue tint used in TDK. We had quite a debate on wether to use colours that represented how the clothing looked in 'real life' versus how it looked on screen. We went with real life colours

That means if you take pics of the Kato outfit and apply a blue tint to them, you'll get pretty darn close to how the clothing looks on screen

I was not very interested in picking this one up... but the inclusion of Kato's work has me intrigued.

Clearly having a hand made suit by Kato is still going to be the best for those who wanted it, but now the rest of us slobs can get one that will be a lot nicer than the previous releases.

Yup, Kato probably has the dx01 suit too.

If the chair from interrogation scene is inaccurate, then even if the socks are correct I'm gonna give this one an uber pass. Completely unacceptable for HT to still be giving us inaccurate chairs after all this time.
