Just looked at the DX01 on my shelf. No question that this is waaaaay better.

Now if Adam Cosplayed Heath as Joker as he was sculpting, DDL style, then yea, Adam for the win as thats pure method!!

Thanks. Yeah, she's fine now...still recovering from the surgery, because abdominal surgery is a _____ to recover from. The trick now is finding a decent job OUTSIDE of my field, because I'll be damned if I go back to working outside in the dead of summer in Houston.

I know how it feels to recover from abdominal surgery. You do have to be patient with it and not push yourself. I work in an office 9 to 5 weekdays. It took a long time with many stumbles along the way to get steady work as a web developer, but it was worth it.

That's it! Someone posted that with the Empire cover next to it and they looked very very close.

I just think we are being tricked by the expression. Here are some close up shots of the figure.

It does not really look like Heath here.

I think the implication by Teddy is that Yulli wasn't going after Ledger's likeness, which Breaker took offense with. I'm guessing DDL means Daniel Day-Lewis.

I think itll make an awesome display, kinda hunch him over, position the eyes looking up in the "not sure if serious" look. with the knife and shotgun.

So this is the "unique" head and we're expecting a more stern regular second head? Or do you guys think this IS the regular head and we have a laughing one coming?

Still not sold on this expression, although I just woke up. He looks like he just bit into a lemon. Maybe when I see the whole thing it will play better.

The detail work on the head is terrific, and I'm glad its not rooted hair. It's just not the expression I would have chosen.

i was looking at my first blood part 2 rambo fig yesterday, my 2nd ever 1/6 and 1st HT fig and thinking the same thing. it's amazing how far the hobby has come in such a relatively short space of time.

DDL, well I'm pretty sure he is safe in Teddys top 10 list of fav actors

Thanks Kara, you always know how to explain things. I also think Teddy is right up until now, Yulli was more interested in creating some type of carton character instead of creating Ledger first then painting the Ledger sculpt with Joker make up.

I do imagine there are also different creative restraints put on sculptors. HT still has to answer to the license holder... just look at that picture of 10 or so Sparrow sculpts that were created before the final two were selected.

Whereas some one like Adam (who is incredibly talented) can sculpt in a more pure form and use whatever reference he wants w/o worrying about the license holders wishes.

Yes it does, because that is what happens in real life, the actor has no make up on then gets make up applied to him.

The Joker with make up on looks strange so trying to create that image only is stupid.

My opinion is that his opinion/statement is stupid!!!! thats all!
