Thanks for the input. Part of me also just wants to wait to see how the WilliamShatner'sToupee sculpts look painted up. That could be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

I think you'd have no regrets if you waited to see that before pulling the trigger. it sounds like a good plan. you could probably get back what you paid if you bought it now and then sold it later but with ebay fees, shipping costs etc you still might lose out.

Honestly you're not missing anything. mines packed up to be sold. really regret buying this.

Karamazov, I don't want to step on Deak's toes, but I have to say that yes, Indy does look like how he's photographed. He really does. Sometimes, under certain lighting conditions and maybe during the daytime in general, he could look a little better. But for the most part, what you have seen here is what you get.

However, you've seen many here defend the figure saying that it really doesn't look that bad in real life (like Deak). And because of that, I have to think that your own personal perception will play a HUGE role in what you think of Indy. So my advice is this: wait for a great bargain and get it. If, when you get it, it looks to you just how it does in the pictures, then no loss. You got what you were expecting. But if you happen to see something better in there, then you will be pleasantly surprised.

I do have to admit that looking at my SS Indy standing next to the HT Indy, HT Indy really does look better. I have loved my SS Indy. I have optimized him to a point where I was super happy with it, changing the body to the Pro 1.2, touching up his beard and eyes, getting some HT hands, futzing him, etc. But when I put it next to the HT Indy, I had to begrudgingly admit that HT's still looked better despite the bad likeness (and the little deficiencies here and there).

The real disappointment with this figure is the thought of what could have been, considering how awesome Supes and Jack came out.

:lol "Stepping on my toes", not at all. To each his own, I just think the venom that has been spewed towards this figure is a bit much. And I don't mean you Lu. And I do agree with what you said in bold, Supes and Jack really make Indy look bad. He deserved better than what we got in comparison to those two home runs. :duff

Yeah, and then you said it was growing on you and looked better in-hand, just like Nick :lol

It does look better in hand, but look at it like this, it's more a stylized artists rendition of the character as opposed to Superman and Jack, who are both spot on...

:( Ain't that the truth. :(

Had a quick look at Mine before it's wrapped up and put under the tree. Paint app isn't great. Jacket looks weird but looking forward to futzing an posing him.

So, we cool? :duff

The venom is exactly why I was being a little sensitive about posting an opposing view. It got pretty heated here for a while and I didn't want to start another war!

It's cool ese. No really, I am more in the middle, I see the flaws but I am not hating on Indy and I'm definitely not blown away like I am with say Superman or any of the last three Terminator figures (T-800 & 1000). Don't worry Lu, no one on here pisses me off in RL. :duff

Don't worry Lu, no one on here pisses me off...EXCEPT...

Don't get me worng, I dislike people on here but to take things so seriously is laughable. But that doesn't mean you can't respect one another. Yeah...dolls. And Thom, CBS comedies have no effect on me.

The figure is not at all a home run, but I still fail to understand the almost total animosity some have for it. And mine absolutely looks better in-hand than in many of those early, crappy pics.

I wish we could have had "perfection"... but I'll happily live with it as is.

Now bring on a TOD version. :lecture

Well look who's not dead. :duff

Great figure- I'l keep saying it. Not Sparrow ...that is the top of the heap. I think the "disaster" talk that lit up early postings were hilariously overboard...

I like this figure. I have many HT figures and there are definitely better sculpted figures, but This is the best I have in my collection. Not a home run, but not horrible either.

Yup, I agree. The only thing I really enjoyed with this release, was changing and fixing it best I could. Absolutely HT's worst ever modern release IMO. They are going to plummet in price I would imagine.
Unless HT stopped making them at an early stage because of all the bad PR.

I would love if Butters could pop up now and tell us that they are going to look really, really good once they get dusty or something..

:lol

My opinion about this figure hasn't changed in the slightest, I like it more now than I initially did, if anything. :huh
