I'm sure. That was my only complaint against the Medi Jack.

The side profile is great! Though from the front there is definitely something off about it....I like the clothing a bit more than MediComs especially because from these pics I know that the clothing is going to be a little darker like Superman's duds were. The neckline is really similar to MediCom's style.....which really surprises me.

I'm getting this without question because unlike MediCom there is a real chance for a bunch of POTC figures from HT, look at Rocky or Rambo.....people figured Clubber and Rocky then done. Now we have Clubber in street clothing, Drago, Apollo....boom! Figures. Rambo....one figure right? Slam! A whole line even if its mostly Rambo variants.

I think when all is said and done we'll get Jack, Will, Davy at minimum. I'm hoping for a Barbossa as well!!

From that pics, besides Jack, I will say we definitely see HT make Will, Captain Sao Feng, and great chance of Davy Jones.

I think we'll get a Barbossa before a Davy Jones.....call it a hunch. Barbossa's costuming just screams for a great 1/6 treatment.....I'm crossing my fingers we get both.

It is defintiely easier for HT to make Barbossa, but I really hope HT make Davy Jones as well. Only HT can pull it off. Can't wait to complete the POTC collection from HT.

Now comes the interesting question......will SSC distribute these? They've been bringing a lot of HT lately but will it extend to POTC????? We've gotten Glicees so its possible...

Hard to say, Sideshow didn't get the Rocky line for distribution, or didn't persue it, time will tell I suppose.

The likeness is slightly better than Medicom's, but that neck joint is an eye sore. Costuming seems about the same though. Still not perfect. I just wish Sideshow could give us their take as well now.

I too think Barbosa and Davy Jones would be awesome!

The outfit looks a lot better on the Hot Toys one, Look at the detail in the strap over his chest. It's not plastic and the bucket has a hell of a lot more detailed... IMO...
I can wait for the "real" pics, with a close up and what not.

According to IMDB Depp is 5' 10", but I've seen him many times in person and he always seemed pretty tiny. But he was usually leaning on a bar when I saw him...

It's good but it's not that great....
Medicom has already done very similar style already why HT decide to do the same? it might be slightly better in height more detail in particular belts and accessories but overall to me ... theres no WOW factor in this ...

A pirate smile face would be nice... maybe thats going to be the limited edition or what about that Chinese pirate costume?

I don't own a HT or Medicom figure but is HT still slightly less smaller than the SS figures and does anyone have any pics with neca jack head on the Medicom?

My guess would be no. Master Replicas distributed the Medicom Jack in the US and they have a big licensing deal with Disney at the moment. Remember that they also released the Rocketeer 2.0 here in the states as part of that deal. I know that Disney has no current deal with HT, but I am sure that they would have a say in the decision to distribute in the States and right now their horse is Master Replicas.
