His helm is different in The Avengers too, the horns stick forward more.

If i recall correctly they couldn't do that in Thor because they couldn't work out the balancing, seems they corrected it for The Avengers though.

If Hot Toys make Loki from the Avengers i'd imagine we could get both outfits in one set and we'd be able to display Loki how we wanted.

That is what I thought too. Well, if they indeed decide to make both than Avengers version for me.

Yeah, I've just seen that myself actually. Thor's costume is also quite different though his is more subtle, kind of how Darth Vader's costume is subtly different between the Star Wars films.

Loki Thor should come around the time of SDCC if not before then and in time with Avengers would be perfect.
Only subtle differences there in the pics above.
Hair is obviously longer in Avengers...

personally i think loki costume in avengers is very different to his thor outfit and i prefer the avengers version, looks more menacing and less princely. i hope they go straight to avengers version i want to have all my hot toys avengers lined up against loki

Ok I decided to do a little bit of a comparison between Loki's costume from Thor and his costume from The Avengers.

The first image is the preview from Hot Toys that was shown around the end of last year, which feature the outfit from Thor and the second image shows his fully armoured look from The Avengers.

As shown there are significant differences between the two outfits which easily provide a drastic enough difference for two separate figures.

The third image shows what i shall call Loki's casual outfit from the Avengers, comparing this to his armoured outfit from above the only differences i can make out are the addition of armour plates on his shoulders and forearms, the addition of the cape and a second "jacket" which looks to have armour plating as well.

Looking at this i would imagine we'll still get Loki from Thor because the figure has been made so it would be a waste for them to not sell it. If Hot Toys make Loki from the Avengers i'd imagine we could get both outfits in one set and we'd be able to display Loki how we wanted.

Also his "casual outfit" very diff from THOR version.
And yes, I'd like to have AVENGERS version coz at least his new costume looks original whle the one he wears in THOR toooooo similar to Odin's.

Yeah, we'd most likely be looking at two $200 figures. The figure of Loki from Thor looks finished and ready for preorder it's just a matter of when it will be shown, i genuinely can't see Hot Toys not offering it after we've seen it in this catalogue and with Loki being the main villain for The Avengers i can't see them not doing a figure from this film either.

The only thing that makes me think that we would only see one figure of Loki is that the figure from Thor completes the line up of Odin and his two sons, whereas a complete line up of Avengers figures could just consist of the 7 main heroes. To a complete line up Loki is more important as a figure from Thor than he is as a figure from The Avengers.

I prefer his Avengers costume but it will probably be a long time before we get that since they still haven't released the Thor version.

I doubt they would do a two in one as well since they are from two different films... but it would be nice.

When I said we might see a two in one i meant a two in one that included parts to make Loki's two outfits from The Avengers rather than rather than a two in one to cover both films.
