Guys, the release date for the MJ thriller on oct is ONLY for Hongkong toy hunter customer!

I have to stress this point out, as I hope no one complain this later to HT facebook bout delays, disapointments etc.

But yeah, back to topic, I'd buy the grammy MJ. And to me that's the ultimate DX, if HT should make one. Multiple grammy awards, best selling album of all time, need we say more?

Well based on popularity the MJ will beat out Jack Bauer ............. still there have been plenty of sculpts/paint that are better than the Bauer imo. Its sweet though, so nice I wish I was a fan of 24. EB did an awesome job on the set.

This and the nokia bruce is gonna be awesome next to one another. Maybe alongside cop joker and the don too. As a tribute to them

You reckon? I don't know Hydeous, I think I'm gonna go against you on that one. I predict a mid to late November HK release. But Halloween would be sweetened if he was released then; that aswell as Spooktacular......

The popularity of MJ over Bauer is true! But the quality in the head sculpt and likeness in the Bauer is way superior!!! And the best in many figures in general!!

I actually just bought my Pre-Order for a Thriller figure, but I just learned I wouldn't be getting it until JANUARY 2010....I was like

And I actually prepared to make my 1984 AMA MJ, by buying all the accessories ahead of time. Members of the forum would be very impressed to see how much detail I'm putting into this outfit, everything down to the glove will be hand-crafted by myself. I just need the figure itself, and I just can't wait until January!!

Who did you pre-ordered with?
The original release date was Dec-Jan, but there's strong rumors that it will be released later this month, so, don't loose hope yet!

I'm also curious about that custom suit you're making...
!!

That's the thing....I know Michael wore a black glove to the AMA show, but I thought a black glove wouldn't do him justice. I wanted to go with the traditional white glove with the embedded crystals. This would match with his sparkling socks, and it would add some light to his outfit in general. If I remembered correctly Michael had on black striped pants at the AMA show, which clearly wasn't the pair of pants being sold with the 1984 AMA doll. I have the red striped pants so I thought I would just make my own version of Michael.

I wanted to do a Grammy figure, as I'm sure everyone else wants. The problem is I need accurate clothing to even make an attempt. The 1984 Grammy doll clothes don't really come close to what he wore at the show, in fact I'm pretty sure he didn't have on a pair of gold slacks, might have been during his visit to the white house, not sure though. Michael's outfits were very random, he wore something new all the time. So in my opinion, nobody will have a definitive version of a Grammy figure unless someone crafts MJ clothing on here or it's released through Hot Toys.

Just think of this:

October 26 & 27= Release of the new CD: "THIS IS IT"!
October 28= "THIS IT IT" docu starts in the theaters!
+ HALLOWEEN <> ZOMBIE SCULPT!

And some german stores will get the figure in DEZEMBER!
There's always a delay between the Hong Kong release & until the figure arrives here in germany, so the figure must be released @ least in the end of november!
BTW: Some german stores want already €349 / $515.43 for the figure! LOL! I'm glad I've preordered straight from Hong Kong!
