Well it's not neccesarily JUST an improvement on the sculpt. Relating to the MMS DX Cop Joker it concerns (what appears to be) either an upgraded v.1 Joker or accessories to upgrade your v.1 Joker that will be INCLUDED with the Cop Joker. So far we've seen a new, more purple and more accurate fabric trench coat + the grenade rig from the "Mob Meeting" scene in TDK + a new set of v.1 Joker hands + a "new" headsculpt with a paint scheme reminiscent of the "Mob Meeting". I was the first to say that to me, it looks like a repainted BR Joker head (the Main sculpt that everyone STILL loves).

So don't think of it in terms of HT possibly updating just the head sculpts 100%. It could be something as small as in the future.. HT re-releases this Dutch figure (for example) WITHOUT all the camo paint, with better clothing, more accurate weapons (I saw someone familliar with guns complaining about the weapons being wrong!?) and with extra accessories like maybe a cigar etc.

That would piss people off who originally got this one. You know? Something to think about anyways.. doubt it'll ever happen. But who knows.

Hot Toys just announced a new line called "MMS DX". Essentially it's updated figures from previously released lines.

Is it??? I didnt think the newsletter didnt say that at all. It just said they were figs that would be using new techniques to make them even better and more realistic and that Cop Joker was MMS DX #1? I didnt assume the new v1 Joker with grandes-coat was a MMS DX.

Actully I just read the article again and I guess it could be interpreted cos as re-doing old figs but it could be taken either way I think.

avp preds are not worth having too many in the collection because it's all the same thing. and i agree with you to keep she pred and elder, also i would keep pred 2 and wolf, badass stuff mate

The only reason to release another Dutch figure is if it looks like he did in the third act of the film.

They aren't redoing old figs, i really seriously doubt that. Although i wouldn't say no to a new more accurate Robocop.

With that many Preds, the truly awesome ones don't really stand out. I find that the less figures I have displayed, the nicer they look. If this were m collection, I'd sell everything but Machiko, and display her away from P1. I feel like he will stand alone just beautifully.

I seriously doubt MMS DX of the Pred figs will come out, the standard versions havent even been released yet and they're already top-notch. It's not as if HT ballsed up the sculpt like they ddi with The Joker.

didn't you see the smiley icons next to my words? Did I ever state that MMS DX Predator figures were coming out? Why so serious?

Keep in mind that the 1st Joker figure was top-notch when it was released as well (the head was updated with the Bank Robber version). What's to stop Hot Toys from releasing a MMS DX P1 with two bios (damaged and undamaged), moveable eyes + more accurate Predator headsculpt, skinned human, etc......

I was joking when I wrote about it but here is what Hot Toys can do.....

(1) Additional headsculpt with different expression (or camo) and adjustable eyes.
(2) Extra body with mud camo
(3) Bow and arrow

I don't really believe that Hot Toys will release a MMS DX Dutch but if they wanted to they easily could. No one saw a DX Joker coming either...

Well keep in mind you're looking at a prototype though. The v.1 Joker prototype clothing looked great too. But on the released figure, not even close to the proto pics. I'm just saying.. things could change. It's possible.

This figure was just an example.

This is the proof:

New Cop Joker, first in the MMS DX line includes EVERYTHING needed to make a v.1 "iconic" Joker. And the new sculpt includes moveable eyes and all the clothes have been updated. So everyone who bought the v.1 Joker + the BR Joker to get the "Ultimate Joker" just got royally SCREWED.

That was my point.
