Sorry for the delay guys....I had to go to the hospital after popping a vessel putting his right shin on... :doh! You should of seen me when I heard that "click." Here are some quick pics. I'm gonna play around with him for a bit and snap some pics. Check back later for more pics :)

p.s. Figured out how the damaged arm goes in. You have to remove the left arm out of the "connector elbow joint" and put in the severed lump. Not as easy as it sounds though cause I was so worried I might snap the connection. The hose goes into a very obvious hole on the back armor. I'll snap pics later on.

If I'd known this BD version would be essentially the same figure set + the extras, I could've waited for it and passed on the first one. It's not knowing that is the most disturbing thing about all of this. Plenty of other companies have turned out variant and exclusive figures, but they're usually quite a bit cheaper to begin with, so nobody gets too upset about it. Hot Toys might be wise to ease up on this practice with future releases, or at least give us all a much better reason to purchase a whole new figure. That said, they're in it for the money, so we'll either have to let some things go or be prepared to cough up a few hundred bucks with every new license HT gets.

Edit: This just for laughs, I got my pre-auth notices from Sideshow today for both the BD and the Elder!!! So it looks like they'll both be arriving in the same shipment... how's that for timing? :monkey4 :lol

... And there goes another $300! :monkey2

On that note it doesnt bother me much about the variants they release now because i only collect Predator/Alien stuff, on the other hand it hurts dudes that collect lines of multiple companies

Some thought I have about this figure. I didn't have problems opening the upper armor from the front and didn't need to blowdry the groin armor to get a good fit. Perhaps Hot Toys really are listening to our problems from regular P2. The alien skull is a superb accessory.....painted well with lots of details..it is also very heavy. Don't be fooled by the battle damage from my pics....the green blood is not that obvious in person. If you have him displayed with the mask on it would look pretty much the same as the regular version. Overall I'm having more fun with this figure than I am with the elder. I still think the elder looks cooler but the amount of accessories he comes with allows you to do so many different poses.

Nice score!

*and so the hunt for that alien skull begins* :monkey2

So, are the medical tools glued in or are they sculpted as part of the kit?
Can you please take a picture of the kit closed?

It looks like the tools are glued in. The closed medi-kit also fits into a slot on the back armor. I believe they had this for the regular P2 as well.

Does anyone have problems with the wrist blades? It seems like the P2 is more likely to poke himself with it than kill any prey....it gets in the way so much :monkey1

It would be good if they made the wristblades have a mechanism inside them that retracts the blades at a click of a button like the Aliens heads.

I think HT used the same blades the AvP Preds had, but they're curved too much for P2. His blades were much straighter in the movie. The curved blades do make posing his hand a little difficult. Unfortunately, they don't retract far enough, but they can be removed by carefully prying the housing for the blades off of the wrist gauntlet. They can then be easily replaced whenever you want.

I removed the blades on mine and I think he looks much better that way. (You can see for yourself in the pics I posted a page or two back).

You'd be right, Mudshark. Though comparing the blades that come with P2 to the ones I got with my Ancient Elder Predator, the AVP ones are a lot more sturdy.

I actually managed to straighten mine out, which not only fixes the problem of them interfering with the right hands, but it's looks pretty cool aswell.

Now if I could just get it to balance right without the damn stand...

Finally got around to playing with the battle-damaged arm. Looks pretty badass if you ask me...there are just so many possible poses with this fella. Getting the arm on wasn't as easy as I would have liked it to be though....just hope I don't break something and have him permanantely battle-damaged.

Jamal...by sheathing the blades...do you mean you to retract it? I retract mine but it still gets in the way. Am I not pushing strong enough to sheath the blades?

I just put em back inside his gauntlet bro, sometimes the hand gets in their way etc, the way ive posed him you cant still see them also
