I put on his knee pads before I put on the shins. I don't think I had an easier time though cause I don't even want to count how much time I spent putting in his right shin. The net getting in the way didn't help either. You should have seen how much longer the netting was for the right leg was compared with the left leg when I got done:lol. Finally I put on the shin guards and it gave me a better grip and I was able to pop the !@#$%^ in. The shin guards for the Elder P2 on the other hand gave me the most trouble.....

Ahhh ok so you slide the kneepads over the netting then put the shins on?
Was it hard to slide the shins into the netting while it was on the body?

Youd think HT would devise a better type of shinguard..

Yep....Wookster was the one who taught me this. I had minimal problems with the netting getting into the way with his left shin...but that right shin:monkey4 I would have problems getting it on without the netting but the netting made it even worse. The disc holder on his belt also got in the way so I couldn't get a good grip on P2's thigh.

Okay, I too would have preferred a non-damaged mask. Plus, if the regular version includes the regular mask, then Sideshow is falsely advertising the exclusive:

SIDESHOW EXCLUSIVE EDITION
"The Sideshow Exclusive version of the Battle Damaged Predator 2 model kit includes an additional accessory - a battle damaged Predator mask!"

They label it an additional accessory, not a replacement. Plus, their representatives here keep preaching: everything the regular comes with plus the additional mask. So, I guess we will see ...

Since they never advertise that the regular comes with the bio-helmet I don't think it's false advertisement. Misleading, but not false. Dusty did qualify her statement as being to the best of their knowledge. I wouldn't be surprised if Sideshow won't know until they get their hands on one. Hot Toys sure is being coy here.

Great exclusive if the only difference is a damaged bio lol.

Hell i could make my own damaged bio out of my regular BD no problem

I think they'll just replace the "undamaged" helmet with the damaged one...not too bad but it'd be nice to have both huh?

The sad thing is this piece is certainly superior to the original release as it comes with all the accessories and more. I guess if you're a stickler for a "clean" version with no blood you can have the original.

The thing is we don't know if Hot Toys will do a Battle-Damage or not...so everyone buys up the first one and then they wish they should've waited.

I'm sure once people start getting the Battle-Damage then we'll see a lot of loose Predator 2's on eBay or on sale here.

No, it's still false advertisement. It says additional. Doesn't matter what the list is for the regular. If the SSC regular comes with a regular bio mask, and the exclusive doesn't, then the advertisement is still false. Yeah, none of us are going to waste the money on a lawsuit, but I bet Sideshow would lose if they did.

What's the advantage of the exclusive without both - as Jamal pointed out, anyone could turn the regular into a BD mask with a few pics of the mask. Unfortunately for me, it's impossible to change the BD into the full ... here's hoping they surprise us. I do know I am done ordering HTs from Sideshow if it's a replacement. The Godfather and a half a dozen other online stores offer it cheaper.

Id never sell my P2 man, for myself the BD gives me a totally different display option the P2 doesnt, so its good to have both .Ive seen boxed P2 originals on ebay going for 200 plus still. I think it will hold it value greatly

i not too fond of the blood on the bd version from the pics ive seen, also the open mandibles have got a little too much blood on them for my liking.. no point in getting those. ill just try to get a med kit of ebay now.

It's not a bad film, it's visually entertaining.

This is the item list for Wolf and I can't think of anything he used that isn't covered on this list.

Weapons:
- Two articulated plasma cannons
- Whip
- Rolled-up whip
- Extendable spear
- Shuriken
- Closed Shurikens
- Retractable Wrist blades
- Wrist computer
Accessories:
- Predator Mask
- Skull necklace
- Neck Wrap
- Cleaner Kit
- Bandolier

Wolf did have a few things that the regular doesn't. Such as the hand gun version of his shoulder mounted plasma caster. He does appear to have one of the Blue liquid evidence destroying containers, but he used far more then just one so the second version could come with more.
Here's a possible Wolf Variant, everything the first version has plus:
-Roaring mandibles
-Hand gun plasma caster
-Multiple blue liquid evidence destroying containers
-Alternative armored left fist gauntlet
-opening equipment nuke backpack

He uses the nuke backpack that opens up similar to the Pred 2 med kit to pull out equipment such as the evidence destroying containers, it also has a self destruct that he uses to destroy the crashed ship at the beginning of the film. It's definitely not included with HT Wolf, here's what the pack looks like on Neca's Wolf:

So there is room for another version of Wolf. In fact, didn't Hot Toys say there would be possibly 4 different figures coming from the AVPR license? One of the Preds at the beginning is a possibility but I think it's far more likely for HT to stretch out the money they spent on making Wolf to another figure. And that makes the AVP looking preds at the beginning impossible since they have very different armor then Wolf, and Wolf's armor is apart of his body's sculpt.
So it's either another Wolf or they use AVP stuff to make one of the ones from the beginning.

actually .. the other preds in the begining of the movie sport the same armor on their arms as wolf, i couuldnt get a clear look at the leg armor but from what i saw it didnt look like that of the avp preds.. sp basically all theyll need to do is get is design some new body armor( slight variation of avp armor) and cod piece.. could e a possibility

I found another method that works and is a lot less hassle than trying to pull the knee guard straps over the netting. Just cut about a 3"x4" piece off the end of a regular mailing envelope, wrap it around his lower leg and hold it in place with a small piece of tape. The paper makes it much easier to slide it up his leg. When you get to the knee, just slip the paper out from under the guard, position it over his knee, and you're done.

With the P2 Elder's leg armour, you really need to use a hair dryer or very hot water to get it real soft before you try sliding it onto his leg. The fit is too tight to use the paper method, but taping the netting down tight around his ankle will help a lot. Once the shin guard is nice and soft, quickly slide it up onto his calf and push it up from the bottom. Be sure there's enough room to attach his feet. I didn't think it would go much higher, so I didn't try to force it.

These methods really work, and they're a lot less trouble than some of the others I've tried. Give 'em a shot with your next Pred and save yourself a lot of frustration! :D

Thanks for the advice! I'll be sure to try your method when I get my regular
P2....still waiting for my friend to bring him home to me :monkey2
Anyone think Hot Toys makes us assemble these Predators to avoid paying workers to do it? Imagine putting together Predator after Predator all day long....:rotfl

For the knee pads you only need to wrap from ankle to below the knee joint. I used the same method to put the thigh guards on the Elder, and in that case I wrapped the entire leg from ankle to crotch. Made things a whole lot easier.

Actually screamingmetal...the Hot Toys specs DO mention that device. But you might not know what it's actually called like I did until I got the AvP:R design book.

The nuclear backpack is in-fact referred to as the "Cleaner Kit" or "Cleaner Case" (in the AvP:R book) and the Cleaner Kit is certainly on the list of HT's specs!!!
