Like drunk_leprechaun, I'm glad I didn't get this version. The blood application isn't that accurate to the movie's(IE: He did have any on his mouth, cod piece or the right side of his chest armor), and it doesn't look that good anyway.

Though the extra accessories(Open Mandibles, Alien Skull and Medi-Kit) are top notch, and I'll try to pick those up later.

Overall though, I'm glad I got the first version.

I'll probably wait on Wolf and see what Hot Toys does with him. Chances are, they'll pull this again, though hopefully it'll be abit better.

So there is room for another version of Wolf. In fact, didn't Hot Toys say there would be possibly 4 different figures coming from the AVPR license? One of the Preds at the beginning is a possibility but I think it's far more likely for HT to stretch out the money they spent on making Wolf to another figure. And that makes the AVP looking preds at the beginning impossible since they have very different armor then Wolf, and Wolf's armor is apart of his body's sculpt.
So it's either another Wolf or they use AVP stuff to make one of the ones from the beginning.

You make the monkey sad... :monkey2

I'm thinking, and keep in mind, I've only seen the first 5 minutes of the movie that has been posted online, that a second PredAlien would be likely and a colorized version or battle damaged version of the Alien and the Predator in the AvP ship and ...? Maybe Wolf with better/different head, more CSI gear and dead Alien or facehugger bits...?:monkey4

Now I'm kinda sweating the Wolf! Ugh... but what about the upcoming Batman Dark Knight figures? Do I pass on them in hopes of a second, improved release and risk their prices to rise on eBay or do I risk being treated like an early adopter?

:monkey4

OY!@ waht dark knight figures??? who is making them???:monkey5:monkey5:monkey5 oh my oh my, i need a ledger joker figure

Supposedly, Hot Toys is making a Dark Knight Batman figure and (Possibly) Ledger Joker figure.

I think a lot of us would be surprised if Hot Toys didn't make at least a Batman figure. But with their Superman V.2... perhaps I'll sit out the new Batman...? Ugh, what a thought.

Well if they make another one ill just buy that too lol

Man, I hope I get a ship notice tomorrow, I'm so eager to get this thing now, I've got Predator fever, though it'll probably take me the whole first night I get him to get it assembled.

Ya, that's part of my anxiety, I've never had a Predator figure. I thought the AVP figures looked cool, but I didn't have any attachement to any of them to care to put that much money into a figure. When I saw the P2 originally, I was interested but ultimately it didn't fit in the budget when it came out and I was holding out for a P1, but it's a new year, new budget, and all the pregaming I did before AVPR had me watching P1 and P2 lots and I kept seeing the pics on here of it and decided I had to have the P2 figure. This will be my first, with Wolf coming soon and P1 certainly debuting sometime this year.

Heres a tip, be patient with the netting man if you get rushy it will get caught and rip. Also, the head takes a bit of determination to get on but noting abit of lubricant or a hair dryer wont fix

Thanks for the advice. I'm amazes they don't use the ball jointed necks for these, it's so easy to get heads on and off of.

With netting covering his torso and one arm, Wolf's netting will go on easy!

Maulfan, like Jamal said...just be patient and when it comes to the armor, I used a hairdryer on mine to soften the plastic. Also, the instructions direct you to unclasp the armor for the P2 on the front, but I highly recommend doing it from the BACK...using a hair-dryer along the way to keep things soft when you need to move stuff back in place. You'll see what I mean when you get it because you can visibly see the hinges in the back of the armor but it almost seems like the front piece is glued together!

Scar was my first Predator and it was a nightmare with him cause I didn't use a hairdryer and was impatient. I got ahead of myself and forgot to put something on which made me have to take apart some pieces, and then one of his hip armor pegs broke (I super-glued that back on). It was a nightmare. :monkey2

I took my time with the Predator 2, used a hair-dryer and he went together like a dream.

Well fortunately, I have assembled Hicks, and while I'm sure the Pred armor is more complex to apply, the Colonial Marines armor certainly wasn't a piece of cake to throw on the first time.

Thanks for the tips guys. Thankfully, the HT price tage always makes me handle their products with extreme caution and follow the instructions thoroughly so as not to make things harder on myself and such.

From the sound of things though, I imagine Wolf will be a treat with so much of his armor sculpted onto his body.

Thats why im loving Wolf man, most of the armor is molded on which is less of a hassle assembling and posing him will be easier also. I wish all the Preds were like this

Yeah Wolf is one of the better looking/designed Predators. I can't wait to Have my 5 Predators, P1 (some day), P2, P2 Elder, SSC Ancient Ex & Wolf....
I honestly think I'll like Wolf the best, when all said and done...

Judging by the awesome job they did on P2 i think P1 is gonna be the creme of the crop, P2 P1 & Wolf will be equally is good imo

I was thinking of variations they can give us for Wolf and I think it applies to the P1 as well. They could give us a Stealth Predator and a Middle of Cloaking Predator. Hot Toys has done both of those in their Snap-Kit lines so I would think they'd consider it at some point.

I think HT will recognize the importance and popularity of the P1 and really pour their best efforts into that over all the Pred figures. I'm sure Wolf will be quite something too.

I dont know how to they could do a stealth predator, it would look funny just like the Kotobukiya busts of a clear plastic figure. Something i DEF would not buy at all.

To each their own. I think a Stealth Predator in a line up with the others would rock.
