aargh...im sick of refreshing the pages..lol screw the medkit.. im gonna put that money into a uscm figure and ive made up me mind ill pick up a drake. i like the muscle body on that figure. hopefully i can find one for within 120$ cause shipping will cost me another $40

I'd really like to pick up an extra med-kit to replace the inert one that came with my first P2. Guess I'd better be prepared to lose even more sleep hunting for one once the BD ships.

Jamal, I'll bet Hurricane could make that happen... the guy's a wizard with miniature electronics. You've seen what he did with the Colonial Marines' lamps and motion tracker, right? He said he could even add the targeting laser to the Pred's mask for about £15! At some point I will probably have him do that for me, like after the P1 comes out.

Yes, if you have a basic account you can transfer money to people I've done it. You need to sleep and stop watching the bay, you're posts even read like that hyper I haven't slept in a while manner.

The tools don't look that good in my opinion. They used a dark plastic for the tools and painted it silver. But the silver coating wasn't thick enough and looks very cheap. Not a big deal though cause I don't pose him with the kit open.

Thanks for the info on the instruments. I don't think I'll display the kit open either, but for setting up scenes and taking pics I'm sure I'll want to have it open at some point. The factory paint doesn't concern me too much, I'll most likely paint it to match the movie as closely as possible anyway. I just hope I can remove them without breaking any of 'em.

One question about the med-kit... does the "cooker" come with it too? I guess it would be folded up inside the kit. If so, then with the dimensions it should be possible to scratch build one that's open, like in the movie. It would've been pretty cool if they'd included an open one too.

That's the only way I think about figures, and I get overly critical of them at times. If I was just doing a display I'd get the BD and have his arms out and mandibles flaring for battle, but since I'm going to be doing photo fun, the mask has a lot of appeal for me in that area so I really want to have that, and thankfully will.

I hear ya Sean! That's really what got me into collecting 12" figures in the first place. Just imagining what kind of dioramas or cinematic-style vignettes I could create with the figures for photographic purposes was what excited me the most. I was mainly into military figures, partly because that field had the best, and most to offer... until Hot Toys came out with Kyle Reese and then the Colonial Marines figures, that is! The possibilities there are truly overwhelming, and I get a lot of enjoyment just thinking about what I want do with them when I finally have a decent set up for shooting pics again. Having Predator figures so detailed and that can be articulated into movie-like poses is like a dream come true. My pics so far have been nothing compared to what I could do if I were properly equipped for it, but I still have loads of fun just experimenting with 'em, and that really makes it all worth while.

I'm looking forward to creating the kinda AVP images fans would love to see; shots combining the qualities of Predator and ALIENS and give the best of both. Having the ALIENS skull will work well for a kill shot I have in mind. I look foward to shooting the Predator because it's a silent, hidden hunter and will thrive of minimalistic lighting shots, which I enjoy. Just enough to highlight what's there but no so blatant, similar to when the Predator is scoping out the meat plant when the team first enters to pursue it.

This guy is super mint! The figure is on display in my glass cabninet in a smoke free home.The box is in great prestine condition as well.

Question for those with the regular P2, does the figure netting allow the legs to squat into crouching positions like when he's looking down onto Keys' team as they make their way up the stairs.
