Can you believe it? People are willing to shell out almost half the cost of the entire figure for a mask that wasn't even in the movie! I may just have to put mine up for auction if people want it this bad...
I haven't tried getting him into a full squat yet, but with liberal use of a hair dryer and making adjustments in careful increments, I'll bet that pose is achievable. I don't think the netting would be as much of a problem as the armour in terms of restricting movement. Removing his leg armour first would allow the netting to be adjusted accordingly when you bend his legs, then when the pose you want is achieved, you could heat 'em up and slip them back on.
I had to use the hairdryer on his thigh armour just to get the semi-crouched pose in those pics I posted with the smart-disc, but they were easy to move when softened up.
The pose I'm thinking of attempting is the one when the sprinklers are on and he's crouched down trying to switch on his cloaking field. That was almost a complete squat and looks like it would probably be difficult to achieve, but it sure would look great! Especially with the the electrical sparking effects added to it. I'd like to see what you could do with your editing skills on that one! That would really make a great wallpaper/screen saver!

Im 100% certain the netting will not allow this, mine will be posed Respirator in the right arm holding it up to his chest and the cut off arm in the left. He'll be posed in a way which makes his body look slightly sideward starring at the cut off arm like the promo pics

I'm not so sure it can't be done... I'll let you know when I try it. lol It would definitely have to be done with care. If it's possible to get enough slack in the suit around the ball joints of the hips and the knees, I think it's possible. I did manage to get a semi-crouch with the smart-disc pose and had no problem with the suit. I think I'll do some experimenting to see just how far the legs will go without trashing the suit over the weekend... Wish me luck.

I tried to pose my AVP Elder in the same way he was in the film giving Lex the spear but the arm wouldnt go up straight because of the damned netting

I'm with Jamal on this one. It isn't as much the armor as it it the netting. I tried earlier to mimic the P1 iconic crouch roar but the netting just wouldn't allow it. If the net suit had come in different pieces as opposed to one then we would have had much less restriction.
This'll be my first so I don't know what the netting is like, but could you fairly easily separate arms and legs from the torso netting and have it look ok and allow movement or no?

Do you mean to separate the connections of the netting at the legs and arms? I guess you could but then the ends would look kinda ugly. You could probably tape down the ends and try to cover it up with the armor or something. I'm too scared to try though...I'll leave the experimenting to someone else

Ok, like I said, I haven't had one of these so I don't know how it all works. I just like the crouching poses because that adds to the hunter feel of the creatures and something AVP1 lacked sorely.

No worries Maul Fan he'll still give you a whole lot of kick ass poses even without his classic crouch. And Wolf can probably do the crouch because it doesn't look like he has any netting on his legs.
Ya, I think pose wise Wolf will be the most fun. I'm just excited about this figure. I love photographing figures and I love the Predator movies, now I get to have fun bringing the spirit of the films into photos of the toys.
