HT- PREDATOR- 'Billy' full spec and hi-res pics

I received Billy and Dutch a few days ago, anyway here is how the repainted head looks with the figure. Good enough for me, considering the sculpt doesn't have much likeness to Sonny Landham

..c'mon guys I want to see other ppls repaints of this one, I'm sure it can be done better!

I'm gonna get this guy down the road. He was probably my fave human character in the movie. Other things are more important to me at the minute though so hes gonna have to wait !.

I'd be happy with that new paintjob. Its a great figure totally kitted up. I've just put mine with the gun strapped on his back and long knife in hand which looks cool. Great military figure.

One day I'll bother to paint his hair black.

For me, theres only one issue with the figure thats mildly annoying at this time and which I don't believe can be fixed - his jacket should be a brighter shade of green.

Of course you are Tay I suppose the lack of likeness is keeping the price of this figure quite low, mine was $80 odd through ABC Express, so no rush to get it if you are focusing on more important things. I'm glad I got both Billy (and Dutch) out of the way now, especially as I had pre-payed for Dutch some six months ago lol!

a-dev ..yeah re-paint the hair at some stage, as it does help the character to come through a bit better. Nice way to pose your figure as well - that's got me to thinking if it is possible to add on the chest scar

I got my notice yesterday as well, but today I picked him up from Echo Base Toys in Temple City, Ca. for $6.50 cheaper than Sideshow's price with tax and shipping.

Wait til you see the repaint I did on it. I'll post pics later today.

I am no painter to say the least but the eyes look strange in all the Billy repaints I've seen so far - has anyone tried painting the eyes looking ahead instead of up and to the left like the production paint job? May help, I dunno cos like I said I'm no painter.

IN painting this guy, looking up reference pics and all, I noticed that he doesn't wear the gloves after his long sleeved shirt comes off. So, again I say WTF, Hot Toys. No shirt and no ungloved hands means no screen accuracy even if I correct the paint job.

Yeah neither Dutch nor Billy wear the gloves for the entire film but this is an easy fix, the only problem being the joint being visible and also where the muscle arm ends. I also noticed that Dutch has a watch - absent on the figure. I took one off Hudson for him which at least hides the joint on one of his hands if you go the ungloved route.

Very nice. I think the reason I see Sonny in some images is clear now, the eyes and nose area can look like him, and those are the key areas, but the overall shape to his face is what isn't him.

Cool for those getting Billy that he can be somewhat salvaged though.

Fantastic repaint SS! I think you have nailed the look of Billy incredibly welll, and seeing your repaint makes me want to rework my one to your standard. Considering what there is to work from with from the sculpt, you've done an awesome improvement!

Thanks again guys. I tried to give this figure the look the character deserved. I wish you could see it in person. It looks even a bit better. It's not dead on, but for a likeness Hot Toys had no rights too, it's damn good. I'm glad they went with the wrong paint scheme instead of a totally off sculpt (Kane). With it now painted as close to right as I could get in an evening, I am very satisfied with this figure. I almost passed on it, but I'm glad now that I didn't.

I also noticed that Dutch has a watch - absent on the figure.

Billy also has a watch in the movie, but not on the figure. Don't know why Hot Toys can't give them all watches. Ripley should have had one too.
