Minor futzing to spruce up a figure to your liking is part of the fun of figures, you can make it look the way you like it to with a little nudge of a shirt or whatever.
It is indeed. Sometimes I'm never happy with a futz or it's just off for that perfect stance. The Joker suit has went through endless pulling and futzing for me.
This example is like the look from straight out of the box, it's not the first people seem to leave it like that.

No discredit to Shaun but that would irk me leaving it like that. Once I find a good natural position for a stance I'll leave it. Like TheTerminator's display shelf. It's nice seeing them standing relaxed and somewhat natural. As I tend to treat these figs like statues. I like the idea of these are advanced statues that can be moved to your liking.
What sucks is when you need heavy modifying to bring a figure up to an enjoyable level, which is why I haven't bit for the Medicom, straight out of the box, with little futzing possible because he doesn't wear clothes, he's not so hot and would require heavy modifications to bring him to a look where I'd enjoy him.
That is true but I will say this reading from the people who modified their Medicom Batman was actually not a hard modification. This is no way meant to sound like I'm trying to encourage people to buy this specific figure. I only wanted it because like you and others still feel so disappointed in the HT look. It took me a while to make up my mind from all the photos from members on here and other boards to buy the Medicom. I had been humming and hawing over it for sometime.
HT's is also beyond minor futzes to get it right, and actually requires more radical mods to get accurracy.
Yeah, so true. The molds/sculpts are so far off.
I think the thing that gets me with the Medicom is that it's so close to not be dead on sucks. With HT, it's so off, you almost see it as a figure by itself separate from the film and however Bale looked on screen and just enjoy it as a figure.
The Medicom shoulder covers are so horrid. They stick up something rotten.

I had to place a small dot of glue on the corners to pin it down.
I see the HT fig as a severely cheesed off Batman. I never use to see it before. It looks like an angry sculpt. Nevertheless I still love the HT TDK fig.
The other thing that bugs me with the HT is it's quite a sticky rubber, well it's a grippy rubber that dust/fibers seem to love to stick on. As the Medi I read it's vinyl? I've no idea but at least it swipes/blows off.
As has been said before, they all have their good and bad but I'm only collecting two lines. Iron Man and The Dark Knight. So I like the idea of both worlds. Get the best from both sets for a stunning Dark Knight display shelf.
