Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Has anyone considered making a custom cape for him?

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Thats actually another thing i am dissapointed in with this figure, now having seen it in hand - the cape. It just doesnt look right, and is a MASSIVE pain in the ass to get looking/sitting decently.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Looks fine to me. I put the original suit's cape on him and it looked wrong somehow...if you can get the cape to lay right, it looks perfect in my eyes.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

I was originally against the shorter cape, love the longer cape about the Begins, but I'm finding where the cape just drapes over the back like Superman, the shorter cape works better.

I agree.

How can anyone argue with that.

It's perfection!

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Here is my contribution. I received him on Wednesday from Toys2, but was just able to mess with him today. Decided to put the new Bruce sculpt on the BB suit...I like the resulting display alot.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

as far as the beer belly is concerned. My figure had a bit of a gut, so I just stuffed a load of cotton wool up his back. on mine the upper part of the suit is only glued in the middle of the back to the pants, so I was able to stuff the wool up there easily. by doing this it makes him have a fat back, but it pulls the front belly tighter. tis easier than all that sanding.

cool pictures everyone. I love this thread. :rock

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Just got mine. I'm mixed. It's nicer than I thought it would be, but also falls a bit short because of the bulkiness.

Besides what's been said on that, there's more room inside the suit compared to the Begins figure.

It's too bad, the figure on the back of the slip-cover and the inside of the box flap look perfect. The chest doesn't stick out and the suit is tighter.

I noticed the hands are softer, but only the left hand was easy to get off.

Interesting, I find it to be the opposite, my Begins figure seems to have som room inside, but my TDK feels pretty much form fitting all over.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

I just got my TDK from an HK ebay seller. I can't remember when I ordered...May? I don't know if this is from Wave 1 or Wave 2.

Overall, this figure is absolutely outstanding. I paid $108 for Clone Obiwan and $140 for Batman. This is my second Hot Toys purchase, following V1 Joker. The sharp increase in quality makes me wish Hot Toys had a Star Wars license. Maybe then there would be some competition and Sideshow would strive for better. But there are a couple issues I need to work on.

1) The yellow cylinder he is holding came loose in the box. Do I need to glue this onto the belt?

2) The cape refuses to stay on his left shoulder. Is there a trick I need to learn?

3) They only provide one pair of wrist pegs for three pairs of hands. The problem is the peg likes to stay in the hand and not in the forearm. I had to use a hair dryer just to switch one hand.

Again, overall, this is a very nice figure on first impression. He is able to look down just fine and doesn't appear to have a belly. Infact, there is a bit of a hollow space between the rubber suit and the abdomen.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

is one v1 and the other v2 if so show me the difference

There's more area to the upper body in the suit on the left. Interestingly though, the suit on mine isn't too baggy, so I wonder, do I have the fixed version. Wonder if any of the figures sent to North American distributors were anything but fixed, maybe the not so good figures were very very early shipments locally over there, cuz really, my figure's body suit conforms quite well to the base body and the suit on the left in that photo looks like it'd have some looseness in the upper body.
