The number of people who have lost their jobs for that reason is significantly lower than you apparently think it is.
Oh, you just mean the jobs lost because of speculative trading on housing by massive banks and investment firms that largely led to the current economic crisis, and the resulting failure of the U.S. economy as a whole. I agree. It was only a smidge over 7 million in the U.S. alone.

Damn right. That is absolutely one of the items I hate about C.A. They completely understand that without the people who are belly-crawling around in the quagmire, they would not have their companies. And yet they will be happy to give as very little as they can get away with to those very people.

Exactly! :lecture

I'm glad at least one person agrees with me.

And I never said otherwise. But to blame all (or even most) of lob losses on "corporate greed" is ridiculous, and patently false.

Agreed. I didn't mean that that was the only cause..but more like one of teh main causes.

Nice spin, but that's about all that is. Did banks play a part in the economic collapse? Absolutely. But so did greedy home buyers who signed papers for loans they knew they couldn't afford. And so did Fannie and Freddie. There is plenty of blame to go around for events of the past few years, and a fair chunk of has nothing to do with Corporate America.

I really don't pay attention at my workplace that much, I just care about my fellow employees or the ppl that I work with are happy and that makes everyone else happy.

I think I'm a fair leader/boss...

I get in and I get out. I leave the drama for der mamas.....

The dead-end loans caused the economic crisis. Those poor shlubs to got in over their head would not have done so if not for greedy, short-sighted investors, because no reasonable person with any intention of obtaining a return on those loans would have given those people money to begin with.

You do know that Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac were corporations, right?

Corporate Europe isn't much better. Governments and corporations are so intertwined in the developed and developing world, that the only way around it is to move to North Korea.
