Ground pound isn't flashy enough, now he has to do a flip :lol

In Im4 he'll flip & twist while drinking a coke then stick the landing to geekgasms

According to Hot Toys collectors FB page the one on the cover of the magazine (42, Stark, Patriot) is the PPS...however they say that this is the Die Cast Iron Patriot

That picture alone confirms that it's MMS figure.
You have the Iron Patriot in two COMPLETELY different poses. The Mark 42 is in the same pose with only the leg being changable.

Here you have the face turned, legs straight, arms straight down and his left hand in a fist.

It has to be a MMS. Diecast or Plastic. Overall I'm really digging the look of it.

Hot Toys collectors are saying the one on the cover of the magazine is the PPS Iron Patriot but the one in the pic I posted is the die-cast figure

EDIT: another pic of the cover without the TF figs:

This is confusing. I REALLY hope they don't release the Iron Man 3 figures starting with the Diecast MMS versions..

Those alone will cost a good $400. I must admit though that it looks great since it's metal and not plastic.

Iron Patriot is my only interest for this line. If it's die-cast then it'll be a pass as i don't want it enough to pay what it'll likely cost.
That's why I'm confused. The picture of the Iron Patriot is metal. Can tell by the look of the faceplate alone.

But why are they making it 3 times? PPS, MMS and Diecast?

I know they like to milk this line but come on..:slap

Even if i was a big IM fan i wouldn't buy into the PP series until the first releases and we know the quality. I'm betting there'll be around 5 up for order before collectors even know their quality.

Well although I am surprised I think that they will not abandon that Plastic figures in favor of Diecast more then likely they continue to make both and as they know that far fewer people will purchase the Diecast then the plastic and more then likely they will be producing them like the did the 1/4 scale figures and have them compliment the 1/6 line.

If indeed Iron patriot is the first to be released in this diecast format they might be testing the waters as the Mark 42 and War Machine are the more popular models and would need to be made in plastic to sell as many and possible.

Just give me a MMS Iron Patriot and I'll be happy! :gah:

They know fanboys will buy no matter what they're made of.

The majority will verbally say they won't buy PPS or die-Cast but if there's no MMS they'll cave and buy them, it's an adiction afterall.

The Die Cast does look awesome in that pic.

I will never buy a statue. Sorry. No matter how many interchangeable pieces it comes with.

They may wish to buy it, but at double they cost they might not be able to. I think Iron Patriot is the least popular of the 3 Main Armors in the movie.

If they really wanted to screw us they would have made the main armor of the movie, Mark 42 in diecast. I would really like to see the limitations that this diecast line has. How much diecast content will it contain and how will it impact possibility. If the pics for the 1/6 playimagitive are any thing to go buy the poses are very limited. I personally would be scared of paint chipping to do anything major with it.

I'd like to think it's to create consumer choice.

People who want it and have the cash can get the die-cast, those who can't/don't want to spend that much can get the MMS and those that can't/don't want to spend that much that can get the PPS.

If HT can't have all your money they'd rather have some of it than none at all.
