Re: [iminime] / Trevor Grove - *Secret Project* The Cowboy

Thats a Champions League night... always special.

Going to the games is downright dangerous specially derbies anywhere.

Our last city Deby a couple of weeks back ended with one team refusing to come to the pitch in the second half, one player needing surgery for being hit on the head by a brick from the stands... a riot police charge. And the usual bloodbath between rival fans outside and inside the stadiums with fires being lit on the stands...

But somehow... I enjoy all that. Shows how much the game is loved albiet fanatically...

:exactly: :rotfl

Hey Ant I am going to the Napoli vs Rome game Jan 6.

That will be awesome good to see an American enjoying a real game of football ;). Italian football fans are nuts every time a British club goes over there on a European night there's trouble.

Sounds like quite an intense rivalry Axe is that a local Indian derby? How's the standard of football over there? My local derby is pretty intense but it doesn't look like we'll be getting one for awhile :(.

Thats the Kolkata Derby played between Mohun Bagan and East Bengal. Mohun Bagan are one of the oldest football clubs in the world and East Bengal too are quite old established by the refugees who lost everything during the partition of Bengal in the Biritish Colonial times. (Im an East Bengal supporter by birth - because my paternal grandparents were refugees :lol - my mom though is Mohun Bagan as she was born on this side of Bengal) So its almost a partisan atmosphere like say the El Clasico of Catalonia (Barca) vs Mainland Spain (Real Madrid) kind of tension, except the crowd bays for each others blood. (and my family becomes divided too :lol )
Both teams share the same stadium for their home matches pretty much like Milan and Inter do with San Siro so it makes tensions even worse.

Plus our football Stadium is the second largest in terms of capacity in the world somewhere along 120000 people can fit in. (When Argentina captained by Messi played a friendly match versus Venezuela here I think the crowd swelled close to 150000 including those who entered illegally.I bet you didnt know that the worlds second largest football stadium was in India :wink1:

Anyway football is popular in certain regions of our country only as cricket is the predominantly popular sport. That is why our quality is not even close to the European or South American games. We did famously qualify for the WC once in the mid 60s or so but since all out players played barefoot the team was barred to compete.

Yeah, I know about the Celtic/Rangers thing... damn shame Rangers were demoted to the lower divisions. The Scottish league must have become a one horse race now. I know how the Irish love the game... Irish fans are some of the best in the world as Ive seen them in the Euros, World Cups and the Champions League ones! :clap
But here... a Derby day means the city is tense and riot police are out in numbers.

Its one of the Derbies noted by FIFA as a Classic Derby you can read FIFA's statement about the derby here:

Did not know the second largest football stadium in the world was in India that's pretty cool and doesn't really surprise me as a nation India is fanatical about sport. Even if football isn't the largest sport (Cricket of course as you say is) it's awesome to think that many people will turn up for a match. I always thought the Maracana was the biggest stadium in the world just checked a list and its down in like 8th lol shows what I know.

Yea it sucks what's happened to my team but that's the way things go you enjoy the good times and endure the bad. We will be back in 5-6 years and we'll pick up where we left off ;). I believe we are one of the oldest clubs in the UK founded in 1872.

I have Latin American Blood. You know the same guys you import into your country to star for your teams? :lol

I was detined to play Pro Soccer. Captain of my Soccer team in Highschool and ranked number 1 in the Nation before getting knocked out in the Semis of the State Championship.

I was going to move to Costa Rica to play for their pro league, but decided to join the Army instead after one of my buddies tried out for the Columbus Crew and had his leg broken in three; the first week of practice.

I still go out from time to time and play with the locals. Some italians get their feelings hurt when they find out this American can actually play ;)

Wanted to learn a skill I can continue doing even after my body failed me :lol

That's awesome Steve but I think you are mistaking my team with one who could actually afford some of those latin players ;).

Very cool you have a keen interest in football and the US is getting much much better at football. You ought to with the massive talent pool you have to chose from as a nation. More than a couple of US players doing well here in the EPL at the moment.

Re: [iminime] / Trevor Grove - *Secret Project* The Cowboy

How many have actually seend GBU?

Re: [iminime] / Trevor Grove - *Secret Project* The Cowboy

Thats the wrong gun for GBU... Clint used that one for some episodes of Rawhide and in Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More...

GBU has him using a Colt Navy Cartridge gun. And the sculptor has nailed it... and not surprisingly simply because he is one of the industries top weapons designer/sculptor

Yes, I was referring to the details more specifically the rattlesnake grip. Will the gun be cast in metal! I hope that's a possibility

At that scale, not possible. Specially because of keeping the details intact. Metal guns done at that scale lose a lot of detail in terms of finishing and are highly uneconomical. One of the reasons HT/EB avoid making small 1/6 scale detailed accessories in metal. 1/4 is still a viable scale to make metal accessories, specially without losing on the finishing.

What details will be used to seperate it from any other offering. Will the barrel be able to "snap"? (Front Loading)

Re: [iminime] / Trevor Grove - *Secret Project* The Cowboy

hi guys.

I have decided to set up dx for 30 limited.

some quantity is set for some territory.

thanks

Denny

Great Denny,

Regarding whether or not to sell the head sculpt with hat separately to members or not, how about if you sell out of all the Blondie figures in the first month you can offer the head for members?

Can we get a sneak peek at the clothing and accessories? I hate waiting to see the head sculpt for several more weeks!

There are no moving parts in the sculpt... it has been sculpted as one straight piece. Denny told me they are working on a painted sample of the gun, Im sure we will all be able to see the difference once he releases pics. It will become much clearer to both me and you what Iminime managed to do with a really excellent sculpt - because at this moment it is quite impossible for me to judge what will be used to separate it from other offerings...
