Honestly though Jeff, I really don't think it is worth the risk. It doesn't lock a spot so it's still a gamble. All of us know what time the starting bell is so all the VIP's essentially have an equal shot at hitting or missing.

The VIP membership is no way structured to be a tool to help out with a "one and done". It best serves people who are in it for the long haul. (I'm not trying to be Mr. Big in the least bit so plese no one misunderstand me. This is just an example of how and who the membership benefits) I own 6 Iminime figs, have 4 on PO (not including Cowboy) and am anxiously waiting for 5+ that have been green lit to come to life. The more you buy the 10% discount eventually pays for the membership; past that you enjoy a true discount and get 3 free sculpts.

I know that you keep mentioning that you can sell off the sculpts to get your initial investment (+) back which is very true, but also consider that some people want to use the sculpts too . There is definitely a ton of value in that as the sculpts usually run $120-130 to buy. I've seen that perk come in extra handy in situations like Ra's & Neo to name a couple. Denny offered a small batch of Ra's to VIPs and that was key for people who missed the full fig. People got an extra Neo for their pt. 2 bashes.

Then there is the presale perk. There's a lot your $300 gets you but it's not meant for the one & done

Yeah, I was planning on selling at least one head sculpt, possibly two. But with the Fight Club guys and McClane around the corner, that's probably out the window at this point.

Actually Beto was kind enough to extend the Friday the 13th Jason III release to 3 additional people (of which I was one) and allow me an extra spot on a second run of the Evil Dead Bruce Campbell figure. All of which he's doing himself with Lu. He didn't come on the board and promise 10 figures and then a few days before release cut 3. Not the same thing at all, especially given the divergence of resources between a 2 person team and Iminime. At the same time, whatever... it's their business and I'll get over not getting one if that's the case. Just Iminime and Beto & Lu are not comparable, IMO.

I was gonna use Beto's Beetlejuice 1st run sale as a prime example of how a ton of people can end up missing out in this game. I was going to assume and say that when he does the second run I'd be surprised if he did 15 max to service that 20+ list (and you know damn well that there are more interested that aren't on the list, as the list essentially didn't mean anything).

Soooooo... he just popped up outta the clear blue sky with "it's show-time"... and the second run is 5! Needless to say there will be a ton of broken hearts when everyone catches up to this. Chasing customs.... gotta love it

Indeed it is; a true grail. Have to admit, between that and getting on the secondary list with the Evil Dead Bruce Campbell, has made me a lot more serene about my losing prospects with this Blondie release. How many grails can one expect in a two or three month period, afterall. And damn your Vulcan logic about the rest, btw!

Have to admit I lol'd at this. Have a few work friends where this sort of back and forth is the daily routine. But, good point, Pop. We're totally agreed that the membership just doesn't suit buying to get in on one release and that was my primary consideration when it came to this figure.

I think Beetlejuice has just skyrocketed into Bill and Wonka DX territory with Beto's latest announcement and I'm guessing noone will be selling (I won't be thats for sure) Amazing figure.

aside from the cowboy figure, a chance at a dx or regular would have been fine for me, I was also going to purchase 3 of the walking dead upcoming figures and probably more in the future, but the closing off of vip list has put me off,... raised the cash and I was ready to pay yesterday, but chance has gone now, I understand that only 85 cowboys are made, and 100 vip's could present problems, but there are 30 peeps out here would have been paying for vip not just for cowboy, but for other future figures, just doesnt look like good business?

I think you should consider that not everyone discovered you guys from the very beginning and even though you've been around for about a year and a half, it's taken this long for some older Freaks to learn about you and there are a lot of new Freaks flooding in now. Your growing quality and great character choices are starting to draw in a lot more attention

Yes, yes, yes brother! I think to be complete the trio is important but Tuco is my favorite character too
