Why is One Sixth Kit priced so much higher than other shops? Am I missing something?

Different store has different procedure/cost/tactics, maybe other stores have better deal with suppliers, maybe…there’s lot of reason for different pricing

Base on my calculation, I do believe it’s the right price (already price in some discount)

I do understand anyone would get out of the business if they always price too high. And I am thankful to people who still placing order with us even we are more expensive

InArt mentioned they understand phoenix joker is too expensive, they try to set retail price as low as possible while production cost is really high. Margin for inart and their partners is low in order to keep the set price more reasonable for collectors

I remember when the health joker started to ship, people complaint about toyswonderland’s shipping invoice. Sadly that they didn’t overcharge people. Thanks to the CNY currency dropped a few % when Joker release, so we didn’t take too much lost on shipping both double pack

We factor in all costs in our price, no extra charges. For some country we may need to charge addition shipping, if so we will seek for confirmation with customer when they place the preorder

Though it's definitely cheaper on specfiction, I'd probably go with Kit as I know if I need to pay payments I can simply ask to do so and at least all shipping and other fees are all included in the price, and I know Kit has great CS in case there is an issue he tries to the best of his abilities to help solve any issues. So I'll probably stick with Kit and do payments and this won't be out any time soon.

Yeah I always order from Kit. Don't think I can trust anyone else.

I use Kit for just about 90% of all the figures I buy lately. It's nothing against him in regards to this figure, nor do I blame him. It's not his job to sell these figures at a loss. Usually, even if a figure is priced slightly higher on his shop then others, I have no problem just ordering it. However when the difference is nearly $300, I have to go with what better helps the wallet.

It is surprising though how much higher the mark up is for this. If I recall correctly, Kit had the JND Joker for cheaper then Spec on both versions. I thought that would have been the case here as well. Spec usually is on the higher end of pricing for these compared to HK sellers but they're actually among the cheapest for this set.

Do you offer any sort of pre-payment plan? This would be a ton easier to stomach if the payments were split up over a year. (Like Jazz Inc does with their vehicles, etc.)

Along with Joaquin Joker not being THAT sought after.... every single statue and bust has been discounted.

Should’ve been bathroom + red suit deluxe. Would have seen a lot more orders even at the deluxe price. People would absolutely not pay $450 each for the Arthur or Hospital by theirselves. Forcing them on us to get what we want is off putting, same goes for the JND TDK armory, locking it behind the most expensive pack is a bad look. Nobody wants to pay $800 for just a Bruce Wayne with an inaccurately colored suit.

Yeah can see them all on BBTS and Prime 1 had big sales for 2019 Jokers along with Sideshow.

Not a bad idea to wait it out and pick through what you actually want later on. The sequel will be out by then, which will inevitably help settle one’s opinion on his take on Joker, for good or bad. If we’re seeing mass cancellations on the Jazzinc 89 Batmobile before the first batch has even shipped, that should tell you everything you need to know about the state of collecting and our economy. Collectors have now been conditioned to only buy on a deal, it was the same way for people wanting the InArt Ledger rooted figure, they didn’t like the price or having their hand forced into a two pack, so they waited it out and bought it parted out, while also affording them to see what production product looked like before investing anything into it.

Only difference is both Gandalf and Pennywise are both selling for way beyond retail pricing at the moment. Ledger Joker might been mass produced in the high thousands due to the massive hype at the time but I wouldn’t expect the same to be done with this. Won’t be impossible of course but no where near the same level of ease we saw with Ledgers.

Feel like we’ve been seeing the same thing happen with Hot Toys. Instead of figures being long term shelf warmers, they’ve been cutting back on their production numbers to avoid this. Figures are harder to get unless if you actually preordered them. People aren’t buying figures as much and companies are reducing production quantities to match.

Cali always adds taxes for any e-tailer shipping to California. They passed that law some time ago.

That's a federal law, not state. I live in California and it's like the same with any state, some places charge for shipping and some don't. I don't pay sales tax and order from shops that don't charge it if I can find them. I don't pay sales tax from Timewalker Toys for instance.

Because both Gandalf and Aragorns price points afforded them a raise in price, these don’t. The reason we’re seeing HT flying onto waitlist fast is due to two reasons, FOMO due to the thought of low stock numbers, and that the majority of the hobby isn’t priced out of those releases. More buyers less potential available stock, we know this. This will definitely have less availability than Ledger, that much is obvious.

Bunch of HT waitlisted items can still be bought aftermarket for retail or even lower. They don't mean that much.
