If I remember correctly, since it was 8 months ago, when Jedha Patrol on Youtube did his review he dropped his and broke an ear. He was able to swap everything over to the empty cowl and use that.

Although you shouldn't have to do this, if that cowl is in good condition that may be an option.
I remember that and might eventually give it a try. The second sculpt is mostly fine (very bent ears) but the issue is that it’s a noticeably a softer sculpt than the main one for some reason.

Kind of a mixed bag with this one. A nightmare to put together, absurd QC issues, and some fumbling attempts at trying to be cutting edge (magnets are great for a figure with well-tooled ankle joints and this ain’t one of those) but-

The final result is something that stands out as far less toyish than the Hot Toys effort, with greater fidelity in terms of materials/sculpt/paint.

Fun to look at, terrible to handle

I think the breakdown as I see it is-

More fun/less accurate Hot Toys
More accurate/less fun Inart

Not sure which I prefer. A mix of both would be appreciated.

Going to try very hard to never touch this guy again. Lol

I think since it's a display piece, I'd rather go through hell to set it up and then love looking at it than be able to pull it out of the box but be reminded that It's a toy whenever I see it.

Correct. It’s definitely a pose and don’t disturb it kind of thing. Might defeat the point of it being posable, but I don’t regret getting it. Headsculpt is really something. Reminds me of the Catwoman/Batman fight at the beginning of the film a lot. There’s a shot during that fight that really feels like this figure to me.

Which is great for me, because that’s one of my favorite shots of him in the movie.

This is sort of how I’m feeling about my masterpiece style transformers collecting at the moment. I love the look of them, but the more complex transformations they’ve been coming up with that take about an hour or so to get through have had me transforming them less and less, which has me considering getting the more “toy” like ones with less steps, less accuracy but much more fun to handle

That’s why I always buy two MPs; one for bot mod, one for alt mode.
I don’t play with my toys, I pose and display them.

I sprayed a few light dust coats from a can of Mr Super Clear Matte/Flat topcoat from about ten inches away, quickly passing over the part. Just kind of assessing as I went, so as not to overdo it. You can always add more, but can’t take it off, so my approach was to build slowly. Then I dry bushed on the “Mud” color from Tamiya’s weathering kit A, which also adds some matte since it goes on flat. I didn’t want to go as grayed out as InArts original black parts, just a little less glossy.
Did you just drybrush on the shoulder pads or did you do the bicep armour and gauntlets as well?

I’m not a Transformers guy so I’m not super familiar, but I definitely feel Gipetto’s point.

You have a good strategy though, buying 2.

I definitely like adjusting poses a lot but will avoid it as much as possible with inart Batman. But I can’t lie about this guy’s presense. I have 2 hot toys ones and the inart 2 pack. So I slotted the unmasked headsculpt onto the hot toys body for an alternate look… headsculpt is remarkable.

Hello guys, need some advice, well, you guys already know about the SpecFiction delay and everything. They said will receive new batch last December 10th but still not word at all, so I have to wait til they have it plus wait like a month to be delivered.

But I have the chance to get a the same figure from another seller, $100 more from I originally paid to SpecFiction but shipped by FedEx, so 2-5 days delivery date. I can ask for a refund and add that extra $100 to get that figure. What you guys think? Wait more time to an undefined date but cheaper or spend $100 and get it in 5 days?

I don’t usually use light up and sound gimmicks but figured I’d at least have a look at what the Bat-Signal looks like when turned on.

It shone brightly for a few seconds but flickered a bit, so I fiddled with the batteries, then the light dimmed significantly, and finally the on/off switch just broke altogether- something internal just went so that’s the end of that.
It’s a very shoddy piece of kit really. The shutter panels are flimsy AF and the supposedly ratcheted main joints are so soft and weak that they can’t hold any degree of tilt.

This is nothing more than a pricey paperweight. At least I got in for $100 cheaper than retail since that was the discount for buying the All In set.

I'm liking Hot Toy's cape, at least until Jaxon's arrives, which is taking forever. I took out all 3 wires and it drapes nicely. I just need to fix the velcro attachment at the chest with rory's method. Enjoying the figure the more I mess with it and look at it. Just looks really good when on display.

If it just had a nice inner lining it’d be perfect.

Is that the HT shoulder and bicep armour too?
Seems like an improvement.

Don't overspend on this figure
