How do you get the bulb out of the staff to turn it off? The crystal comes out without the bulb.

Also how are you supposed to replace the batteries when they run out?

If you heat the staff tip up a bit (not too hot), you should be able to take a narrow and flat tool and slowly advance it to the apex of the bulb/battery combo. You then rotate the tool down like a lever (not away, in a left of right fashion), and then twist like a bike handle. You should see the bulb start to lift.

Is it not the Asmus premium base from Legolas? That’s what I assumed it was so I could very well be wrong.
It's from a company called DS studios, but I couldn't find them when I looked.

Well I got the bulb out... how the hell do I turn it off now :lol.

Also does anyone know if there's a place that sells these kinds of bulbs?

Maybe a fishing/sports store? I’ve seen them described online as fish lures.

“floating lamp and battery CR311”. I need to order replacements as well
Those do look about right.

Is it possible to remove the battery form the lamp section and re-use it? Or do you just need to replace them entirely.

I was wondering if they would have one of these for Gandalf!

I find it funny that they didn't bother to do the thumb threading through the sleeve thing with the staff either.

My Gandalf is due for his hair styling now that Aragorn is here... so its good to have these videos handy.

I forget what has to be done to Gandalf but the beard on mine is quite thick and long, and the hair is quite full.

I just sold my Gandalf, but I've seen some hair that looks amazing. But others have SO MUCH hair.
Early batch had nice thinner hair, later batches not so much. Once they brought in the bigger crew it seems like the hair quality went way downhill. Early batch seems like it looked as good as the prototype right out of the box basically.

That sucks. The early batches, especially when futz properly, looked amazing! Mine was decent but could have been thinned out some.

Nah, it's random. Mine is early batch and the hair is honey. Super chunky bits with lots or product. It sucked so much that coupled with one of the sword straps breaking by itself and a wonky and uneven base, that it lead me to totally ignore the figure. It remained unfutzed on the shelf as the day I received it. I hope the love will rekindle once I receive Aragorn.
