Things are not so cheap in China as they used to be
This is true, due to their labor force gaining leverage against the companies that they work for, and their industries broadly realizing how much the rest of the world relies on them for. . .well, everything. But things haven't gone up 100% in price in 4-5 years.Things are not so cheap in China as they used to be
Plus, look at all the people who are hunting down the Hasbro one and are prepared to pay around the same price.
SSC has a fullproof excuse built in when it doesn't sell well. They just limit the run and all the apologists can simply claim that because its so limited that they had to set a high price!
But the fact is, the run is TBD. So if SSC really wanted they could have priced this much lower, sold a ton and thus the low cost becomes justified.
Really, SSC made a selffulfilling prophecy by pricing it so ******* high.
I know. Nuts aint it.
I love it. We're tossing out the apologist nonsense again.
You don't have to take offense...and its not nonsense. Whatever I call them, 3 months from now, if I bring up "man bazooka Indy sure was expensive" people are going to point to how small the edition size was as justification for the high price, but the fact of the matter is that on preorder day the price was set but the edition size was TBD.
Its up to you whether you want to be labeled as one of those are not Joshua.

What IS the development timeline on 1:6 figures? I'm just wondering how long this figure has been in the pipeline.
I think you've missed what even your so called "apologists" have been saying. 3 months from now, while I still believe that most people will still be saying WTF?!, I think those who've bought him will still be saying the same thing:
"Yeah, it's $90, and yeah, it's expensive, and yeah, he doesn't come with much, but I don't mind paying it."
How the hell does that sound like an excuse or any justification of any kind?!
Thats not apologist. And thats not the target of my comment. I am specifically targeting the people that inevitably will use the "edition size dictated price" argument.

Maybe this figure is prophetic and he's taking aim with that rocket launcher at the 1:6 line? Like in the movies, he won't pull the trigger, but that doesn't mean he won't stand on the ledge "holding" it indefinitely.
Most figures, 6-12 months.
This Indy figure, prolly 30 minutes.
Because someone inevitably will, when in truth it will be the exact opposite. ES on this will have to be lower because of the insane price.
