They must be really high if they think many people are going to pay $90 for it, that's for sure. And Am I the only one who thinks this looks like a 40$ figure...Cheap clothing,Average sculpt, big head, disproportionate pro-body....

It's not about whether you can afford it or not... it's about the value. This thing is overpriced to the point of insult... especially at a time when there are some people struggling to put gas in their car in order to get to work.
If you're buying these figures though you can probably afford to put gas in your car. If you're buying these and struggling might want to put your crap in better order.
You missed the whole point of Irish's post. Nothing about affording, but the VALUE, if the figure is worth it. And this figure isn't worth 90 dollars.

I feel insulted.
Carl- As far as people not wanting this damn figure I did and know others did as well. As a matter of fact people wanted it enough to go making their own so folks must want it.
The drastic increase in Sideshow's "basic" figure price from around $40-45 a few years ago to $80 today is pretty insane. Inflation and the cost of plastic/materials can't account for it, so it seems to be a simple demand issue. As long as we keep demonstrating a willingness to shell out $90-150, they are gonna keep raising prices. Can't fault them for being a business and trying to make money, but I also can't help but question the wisdom of releasing something like this Indy without dropping the price $20-30, at least.I'm finding that the value of most collectibles these days doesn't justify their price. Quality is not keeping pace with the increased prices. Either that, or I'm just getting pickier about what I want to spend my money on.
