A headsculpt just like this would be cool.

Absolutely. I would have loved an intense looking head to go with this figure. That's the look on his face I always associate with Indy when he wore that outfit (and it's one of my favorite scenes in the film as well.) The one we're getting has a dopey look on his face.

I just got a spare hat less head off E-bay.
Looks like I will have to save it to replace this head:tap

Dopey? I don't see it.
I guess he could look a bit more intense.
It would help if the eyes were painted looking to the side, but then he is still wearing the hat so sadly he's not styled on the bazooka scene.

Poor choice of words on my part. The sculpt just seems really off to me combined with the poor transition to the neck post makes the whole package look poor to me. Cut me some slack it was late and I was tired. Not really dopey, but just far too calm.

Wow, I knew the RPG was off but I never realized how bad it was until looking at the two pics in this thread. The warhead looks like a little pee shooter compared to the screenshot. And how hard would it have been to put the yellow strip around it?

The hatted sculpt in the pic looks more like he's taking off-screen direction from Steven while holding the rocket launcher vs. getting set to bluff Belloq into thinking he's going to blow up the Ark.

Actually I think its from the deleted scene at the base where he's looking for a good weapon to use to blow up the Ark. The headsculpt is saying, "Nope, too small, maybe there's something better over on that shelf..." ;)

Either that or he's looking off thinking, "Hey, it's a nice view from up here." OR possibly wondering how nice it would've been had someone actually cared about the Indy license and done right by it. :lol

Ya know...they could just tweak the original hatless 1/6 Indy head and give us that instead of a whole new sculpt. It has a nice semi-mean look to it anyways which is what many people are asking for.

It'd make too much sense and they'd also have even less of an excuse for their crazy $89.99 asking price.

Honestly, I wouldn't even care if they didn't. A tiny little inclusion like reusing the Adventure Indy's hatless headsculpt would add so much more value to the piece just by being included.

But the second head had perfectly combed hair. It would be nice to see it a bit rustled up like in the pic.

I haven't even bothered to use the hatless head I have now.

Not that I'm interested in this figure any.

Thats why I said they could tweak it a bit.

Maybe this has already been said but do you guys think someone at SSC thinks you can just use the hatless head from the first Indy and pull a switcheroo? Kind of how Hot Toys included parts in the BR Joker for the 1st Joker? Just sayin I could see that rationale.

Well good sir, while you're rationalizing, please rationalize to us how they can justify charging the same price for Indy in German disguise who only comes with a rocket launcher as they did for Adventure Gear Indy who not only came with an extra noggin, but came with the sand bag, fertility idol, 3 extra sets of hands, 2 pistols, 2 whips, his goodie bag and a Fedora (and the ex which also came with a log and a dart). :huh
