The news was pretty disappointing. It was a very very short trailer and it had a few scenes of Lex fighting, but they were so quick and brief that it was hard to really get into :(

I don't know if I want the CE or not. I just want those New 52 skins more than anything.

They'll be DLC like everything else eventually. I hate Gamestop so even though I wouldn't mind getting the Red Son pack, I'll wait for the DLC. I'm getting the collector's edition and that would be like another $17 from Gamestop shipped rather than from Amazon. The Red Son DLC won't be that much, so I can wait a few months for that.

Picked up the first comic book prequel tie in yesterday at the LCS. If it is any indication of the game, this is going to be freaking amazing. Spoilers below! You've been warned!

The book opens up with Batman telling us Superman is the dictator of the world now. All is quiet now.

Flashback to 5 years before the opening of the book.

Superman's knocked up Lois and he's all excited. He can hear its heart beat. Wants Batman to be the Godfather.

Lois and Jimmy get a tip about something going down at the docks. Turns out its Joker and Harley. Joker puts a bullet in Jimmy's head and they kidnap Lois.

Superman is upset and has Batman get the Justice League involved. They track Joker to a submarine. Superman breaks open the sub to see Joker and Harley operating on Lois, but Doomsday pops up out of nowhere and fights Superman. Superman takes Doomsday up into space.

Batman finds Scarecrow dead. When he gets to the sub, he finds Scarecrow's fear toxin has been mixed with kryptonite. There is no sign of Lois on the Sub. Just Joker and Harley. Joker says when Lois' heart stops beating, the nuclear warhead on the sub will go off, killing everyone in the city.

Turns out Superman isn't taking Doomsday to space, but Lois. He only realizes the trick once Lois dies. A nuke wipes out Metropolis. The end.

:google Now we know what those papers next to the Joker in the most recent trailer were referring too. This is going to be epic.

That's some pretty damn good writing there, I must say. And hell, I'd rather read more of that than play a fighting game :lol

By the way, anyone know if the UK version of the game will play in Xbox's here? I want the UK statue, damn it.

I've all but given up on Video Game statues. The only one that's really impressed me was the Arkham City one.

Yeah, I was impressed too. I think it addressed some of the biggest issues with comics now - nothing really bad happens anymore. Or at least, it doesn't stick.

But its looking like Superman is going to be the bad guy in the game :yess:

Cool beans. I love alternate universe stuff, and I read the first part (up to where Jimmy was killed and Lois was kidnapped). I'm going to have to pick up the full issue.

Yeah the full issue was great. There was also a twenty minute interview about the game and it made me even more hyped.

Anyone know the answer to this? You can actually get the superior UK Collector's Edition from Amazon for about $20-$25 cheaper than the U.S. one (shipping included), but obviously it's a lost cause if the game disc won't work in my US Xbox 360 or PS3.

I'm not sure about that. I suppose, you could get a regular edition in the US, a CE from the UK, then sell the UK disc and the regular case to someone in the UK.:lol

PS3 Games are region free unless the developer decides otherwise.

Xbox360 seems to be the same, I have an Australian release of Lego Indy
