You could do what I did. Get the Granty with the Mark 4. I don't remember but off the top of my head it was only $160.00 more.

I've thought about it... does anyone still have one available? My local shop only has the gantry in-stock.

My girlfriend would kill me...

I know I bought the last one from ssc before they when on the wait list. But I have read some on the wl getting one. You could try that.

Yup, only recently local - I haven't actually purchased anything from them yet.

They just took over all the stock from the place I use to buy from this summer. I've bought a few things from them but there prices keep on rising. The only thing that sucks is they are about a 30 minute drive for me.

I think you will enjoy the Mark IV. I sure like my Iron men.

Very nice Hall of Armor look right there, cadaver. :hi5:

Thanks guys! :hi5: I did die a bit inside when I saw the hall or armor blow up. I would really like to make a full hall of armor but I just don't have the modeling skills.

all the armours get damaged in the previous movies, yet Tony fixes them for for his 'display' anyway :p

You are right to a certain extent and that extent being Mark 3 because it has always been displayed damaged. Strangely enough, Mark 5-7, which took some major beating in previous movies, get displayed in pristine condition in Iron Man 3 poster. So I suppose your reasoning stands only for them.

The Mark III got way worse of a beating than that... he repaired everything except the chest.

Not only that, but the MKV could *never* be displayed like that. It would only ever be possible to have the suit in the opened up position if it were on a person, seeing how integral the wearer was in getting the suit opened up.

@SkyIScrape Not too sure about that. Mark 5 fell apart after that first encounter with Whiplash, Mark 6 could hardly fly near the end of Avengers and Mark 7 looked just as beaten up as Mark 3 at the end of Avengers. I reckon the reason Mark 3 is left the way it is is for sentimental reason considering he was so close to Stane. But that's only my take on it.

@Username agreed. Most plausible reason is because those are the fabricated costumes for the movies. Damages and that done only to the CG models.

While there's clearly some kind of mannequin in the Mark I holding it up, I imagined that the Mark V was left assembled when it was repaired - I imagine it would have been something Jarvis could arrange - although I kind of like the idea of it sitting in the stall in suitcase form. I suspect it's not very user-friendly when its already deployed. These are the little things I always think about after watching films like Iron Man 2 - I want to see him take off the Mark V, I want to see Rhody returning the Mark II and saying "thanks for letting us copy your design".

I am of the opinion that the armours are not 100% reusable after extensive combat.
The MKIV wasn't too badly damaged after the fight, but almost every other armour must have been royally fooked after their respective battles. It would likely be easier to store them for posterity and have the house make a new one for the display cabinet...
