Looks great Bar.
Are you modding your Mark 2 faceplate as well? Just curious since this is the AUV thread

Looking good. I'd love to see that kinda paint finish on my Mark V.Threads can meander off the beaten track as long as they eventually meander back...
I *have* done some work on a MKII.
I have some spare lids and have done some work on one when i first got the Lacquer paint for the MKVII chest piece.
Clear Red from Gaia Colour, just sprayed onto a normal MKII empty head:

If I have a chance to pick one of these up for $175 I probably shouldn't pass it up, huh?
I was waiting for the Green Stuff to fully harden.
I have since sanded it back to have the tiniest of gaps.
can anyone tell me the pros and cons between the Armor Unleashed version vs the original MK II version?
can't get to find a comparison review anywhere and i'm deciding which of them to get...

Since I haven't really seen a lot (any?) comparison pics between new and old I focused on doing that. Also took a photo with a bit of brushed steel from an Apple trackpad and some chromed magnets.

The articulation is more limited in some respects and less limited in others and makes for a more posable figure when compared to the old MkII. I actually don't even miss the ab articulation from the other Iron Man 2 figures as really I never use it since it tends to kinda look weird.

Took a few more comparison pics. The new one has less range of movement in some areas but overall makes for more natural looking poses. The new lights are also so much brighter.
Oh and excuse the fists on the old MKII. The splayed hands are packed away in the box and I didn't feel like digging them out.

What is THAT on the shelf below ?!? Don't tell me you made a 1/1x Bat and didn't show it off??????
I have to stumble in this IM thread to get a glimpse of it?
BBTS just sent shopping confirmation
thanks guys
actually that's what I was looking for BB&WSF. That helps a lot.
the AU paint looks more "shiny" which is more movie accurate to me.
but the original MK II cost more? what is a reasonable price for these now (opened package mint in box)?
Now all we need is the virtual walkaround i.e. surface diagnostics version of the Mark II. I remember seeing a custom that HT had on display.
