I'm telling you its gotta be Justin Hammer's attempt. They've already changed Justin Hammer for this film from an old British man like the Comics into another whizkid like Tony....I would say it isn't too much of a leap.

"Death to Jeff Gordon!!!"

Those Junior fans go too far sometimes.....

Re: Iron Man 2

A Mickey Rourke headsculpt would (will) be the most detailed Hot Toys sculpt EVAH!

WHY?

it's easy to sculpt him....even I could do it!

...all you have to do is....take some clay, roll it into a ball, smash it around a bit, form it to look like a head, then crumble it up, put the pieces back together, and draw two lines for eyes. it's that easy! :duh

i don't know what to do for the hair, but that pretty much would be his face, dead on.

Re: Iron Man 2

I'm sure it's just a Mark 1 version of the Whiplash suit. Probably gonna be an awesome updated one for the end fight.

Re: Iron Man 2

I'll admit, it does look rather cheesy...especially if it's the final suit. But considering how awesome Favreau made the first Iron Man, I'll have faith in him that it will look great in the finished film.

This cameo will make me chuckle but I'm more interested in seeing the modified Iron Man suit....could it be a Mark 4 or are they referring to War Machine?

Wanna Know Stan Lee's Role In 'Iron Man 2?'

larry-king.jpg

Stan "The Man" Lee has graced the screen with many cameos, from the old guy who gets radiation poisoning in the newest Hulk movie to the mailman for the Baxter Building in the Fntastic Four movies. While I don’t think any of these cameos are as good as the one he has in Mallrats, I did enjoy how he played Hugh Hefner in the first Iron Man movie. He will be following up that performance by playing another real life celebrity in Iron Man 2. Get prepared to see Lee break out his fanciest suspenders when he tackles the role of Larry King! I hadn’t noticed it before but these two do look similar, in that they’re both aging white guys.

It also sounds like Lee might have one of his lengthiest appearances on screen as he will actually be conducting an interview with Tony Stark about a modified version of the Iron Man suit. I am assuming he has been hard at work with an acting coach and watching many tapes of Larry King Live to master all the subtle nuances of the character. His depiction of Hefner was nothing short of perfect so I’m expecting big things. Who am I kidding, he will be on screen for a couple of seconds and I will chuckle. I’m still looking forward to seeing him in suspenders.

Comic Movie Spoilers That Don't Make Me Miserable
Posted at 3:01 PM Jul 02, 2009

If you just started reading Topless Robot in the past few weeks, you'd be forgiven for thinking I have a policy to pre-hate all upcoming nerd-based movies. This isn't true; I just hate stupid ideas, and they seem to be coming fast and furious these days. So I'm glad to report two rumors/spoilers that cast the upcoming Spidey 4 and Iron Man 2 flicks in a more positive light. Spoilers ahoy, so be warned.

rourkex-large-thumb-250x255.jpg

First up, if you were concerned about Mickey Rourke's Lord Humungus-esque Whiplash harness/outfit that got revealed a few months ago, Comic Book Resources says that's for an early scene in IM2, and Rourke will be wearing a more imposing, armored Whiplash/Crimson Dynamo-type outfit before the end. Now, I think that's a good thing. It's hard to take Rourke as a credible threat for Iron Man when his nipples are exposed.

The second rumor is very much a rumor, because I can't track down where it started, but i concerns Michael Papajohn's appearance in Spidey 4 which gave me a small nerd rage-aneurysm the other day. I just assumed that Raimi was going to re-re-retcon Uncle Ben's death, but someone somewhere has suggested that this might actually be Spidey villain the Chameleon in one of his disguises. I certainly hope that's the case, since it both ^^^^s with Spidey and doesn't muck up the already murky waters of movie Uncle Ben's murder.

So yes. Two things thaat make me look forward to two comic-based movies, although admittedly they're not confirmed. It is possible, people. It's just not very often.

Iron Man 2 News & Spoilers?

Over at Nuke The Fridge they appear to have an insider, one whose credibility is questioned by even them, but none of what he says is too unbelievable so we’ll pass it along to you.

Very minor spoiler alert…

“For the story on how Robert [Downey, Jr.] had to come in and save someone from evil robots well, in the scene, We are at the Tony Stark World’s fair in New York and it is mainly a technology expo. Hammer technology is there too. All of a sudden there are "Drones" that fly in and attack the spectators. These drones were made from Tony Stark’s Iron Man suit and they look very similar to his suit but the difference is that there is almost no head and the color is beige and silver. The "bad guy" has taken over these "drones" and he is making them attack the crowd.

Also Mickey Rourke will definitely be armored in his second battle because on Wednesday he had a scene where he had to do an evil walk. Mickey had on his same Whiplash costume (Whips and all), but this time he had the same tracking markers that Robert had when he was in the half suit, inside Randy’s Donuts. The tracking markers will be used for the CGI that will make up crimson dynamo/whiplash armor.

So we are going to get headless drones and Whiplash in the suit.

There is nothing much there to blow your skirt up or anything, but Rourke is working on an ‘evil walk’ so that’s pretty neat-o. And the bad guys are gonna be beige. Is there a more intimidating color in the spectrum? I don’t think so.

Scarlett Johansson looks really different with red hair. I just hope she does a good job as Black Widow.

Interesting that Gwennie has the arm configuration like Tony did in the first. I wonder if they'll take Fraction's Iron Maiden and put her on screen or if its just a promotional kind of thing.
